I'm pretty sure if you took Larry Fitz away from the Cardinals or CJ away from the Lions their offense would suffer too. Credit to Oakland, they identified the weakness and exploited it. Nobody is going to fear the Schaub to Jacoby/Walter connection.
Freeman Newton Stafford Bradford (maybe) are all better than Schaub Sad thing is they are all younger than Schaub, but I have seen each of them audible plays.
Well obviously Carolina wouldn't...they just spent a #11 draft pick. Buffalo wouldnt now, because of the chemistry, but they surely would have before the season (i wouldnt go to crazy for Fitz, he's been good this year but was bad every season before that) Bradford...no, again, #1 draft pick and qb for the future. Freeman...probably not, but again, that would be more of the age/potential ability. In a vacuum, for one game and one game only, it's pretty safe to saw schaub is taken above most of them
Yeah, the Texans are the only team in the league who don't have interchangeable starting QB's... Seriously, this is getting ridiculous.
Tough to say. Bradford, Cam, and Stafford were the #1 overall picks. I think Jets fans are pretty frustrated with Sanchez, and Cutler has been pretty inconsistent.
Will you at least concede that Schaub's track record is slightly better than Kolb's? And no; I think I'm pretty fair with Schaub. These folx must have worked for the UoH athletic department. He was a 3-4 round projection. You're just throwing feces up against a wall - you must have gone to Texas Tech... The Texans traded for Schaub a month before Kolb was drafted. This is just... I don't even know what to say. This feels like David Carr all over again, where we're going to exclude every other aspect of the team to focus on just one element...
this post is a fail, i would literally trade schaub for anyone on this list except the tier IV (i do like cassell) guys. So from your list schaub is tier 3.5.
At this point but i think this is Kolb's second season as a starter. My Mistake . . . .I thought Kolb came out the year before but Now that you pointed it out .. i remember I was thinking about the fact we gave up 2 - second rounders for Schaub At the time I thought we could have gotten more bang for the buck if we used one on Kolb or some other QB Rocket River
ummmm..no....there were posts saying not even Tom Brady would have won that game yesterday...that's why i posted with sarcasm.
Let's all take a really deep breath.... In his last 37 games, Schaub is: 859/1,321 (65%); 10,517 yards; 62 TDs; 32 INTs; 7.96 YPA; 94.4 QB rating. Those are the numbers of a very good-to-great QB. And you want to replace him with... let's go over the list - Kase Keenum? Kevin Kolb? In another thread, someone suggested trading him for a 2nd CB...... I'm just.... I'm running out of things to say.
vickers makes that touchdown and this is a whole different discussion. i'm a kubiak fan but at some point. anyway, plenty of season to go. vickers went to forest brook in my hood. so disappointed
You Texans fans are ungrateful idiots I'd kill to have Matt Schaub QBing the Raiders. Did you see how many times Campbell threw up a complete duck or forced a throw where he shouldn't have? Jesus Christ. He nearly led you to a victory despite having his center snap the ball 4 feet over his head. But you'll be right back to wondering if he's elite after he makes enough plays for you to beat Baltimore next week.
"they're' = Texans? I thought you were referring to the Raiders as my post was about Oakland's viability. You should maybe point the sarcasm gun elsewhere; perhaps at a pot of Lilly of the Valley flowers?
It's worse on the other side of the Bay. We've had the pleasure of watching Alex Smith suck it up week in week out for the last several years. The Niners are a totally different team if we had Matt Schaub back there.
Yeah, but your receivers are probably even worse than the Raiders receivers. Heyward-Bey >>> Crabtree?
This is the simplistic view from the other side....if you think Schaub is the only reason for the problem because of the last play, you're wrong. If you think Schaub isn't at all part of the problem for throwing 6 incompletions in a row and the Texans being unable to find the endzone in the 2nd half, AGAIN (wildly inconsistent from half to half) then you're wrong. This is a game they should have won. Schaub is absolutely part of why they didn't.
i was referring to the raiders. remember the post by someone on that page saying "not even brady could have won that game??" that was where my sarcasm was directed. whatever..let's go back and delete the post. who the flip cares?
