It would appear Williams may have suffered a tear based on a conversation he had with defensive end Antonio Smith.

"He said he felt like something popped, but I don't know," Smith said. "With Mario, the only thing that concerns me is that he didn't come back.

"If Mario goes out of the game I'm very concerned. Mario is just not the type of person that just goes out of the game."

I still say that reliant and toyota center were built over ancient burrial grounds. Infact, Kubiak might be a ghost.

    Just another guy.

He never got pressure and was caught out of position a few times.

But in fairness, chasing a speedy Raider to the corner is no easy task.

Mario Williams told me after the game that he would be all right. But Mario isn't one to be too dramatic or allow for self pity.

Well that's about as vague as you can get. Thanks again, Solomon. I don't know what Houston sports coverage would be without you.

If Mario's season is over, a lot of people will get their wish of seeing what this defense will look like without Williams...they may not like it.

If a petoral injury is like a chest area injury, can't they just protect that? He has to be done for the season? I mean, I'm not a body expert or anything, I know that. I understand that if you tear an ACL, that will affect you greatley since you use your legs to run and stuff. But an area of the chest is really that bad? If it's painful then nvm. If not, you can't use special equipment to guard that stuff?

Williams and Casey suffered torn pectoral muscles, not biceps. They're hoping they don't require surgery.

    FML :(

Dude, your pectoral muscles are used in pretty much everything you do in football outside of running. You can't go around tackling and pushing linemen with a torn pec ffs.

If no surgery then probably 3-4 weeks to recover...not the end of the world...maybe just maybe the team gets hit with the injury bug early enough to recover and storm into the playoffs. Wishful thinking I know.
