that's because a lot of texans "fans" are actually just people who are not invested in this franchise and just love to hate.
I think the lack of timeouts at the end (no thanks to the waste of a challenge) is just another example of mis-management by the coaches. They even had a few extra minutes to look at the play (was obvious to me at least that there was not enough evidence to overturn) because of an injury on the field i think, and still went ahead with it.
There were plenty of chances but that doesnt negate the fact that Jacoby sucks! I have completely given up on him. Sure we are stuck with him, but man he is completely useless. It also doesnt help him to have a QB like Shaub. Im sure with maybe a Brees or Brady , Jacoby could be decent. But he will never achieve that with Matt throwing to him
some of yall need to chill out too, we beat the Steelers last week and everyone jumps on the bandwagon because we finally close a team out, we lose to the Raiders and everyone hops off revealing the shortcomings of this team I mean which is it. Judging this team on a week to week basis instead of judging the season as a whole is pointless.
the Dreessen challenge was brutal. Not that it wasnt a catch but given the call on the field and the lack of quality replay footage it was a bad call. I do think he caught it, but it wasnt conclusive evidence. I wish Dreessen wouldn't have been so adamant about it because it put more pressure on them then should have been
What the hell was up with the 12 men on the field at the end? They overruled it and said the facemask against us counted instead? WTF?
I think we match up pretty well against Baltimore. If we can snake a win on the road, the bandwagon will be full again.
The bandwagon would be full, but playing the Ravens after losing to the Raiders doesn't bode well for this franchise.
Oh oh oh, did anybody see that blatant block in the back (on Joseph I think?) that sprung Oakland for that big gainer on the fake punt? Game changer. Too bad the refs didn't decide to enforce that rule when it actually mattered
Yeah, that call made absolutely no sense to me. If there were 12 men on the field, shouldn't that have outruled any other penalty?? Technically, if the Raiders had the proper number of players on the field, maybe we have no need to pull the facemask? It would make much more sense if the penalties off-set each other, and they replayed the down.
I felt that the penalties should have off-set and the down should have replayed. At least, that seems to be the fairest result of the play.
He would have never rushed it into the endzone. What Schaub should have done is thrown it out of the endzone. As soon as he saw everyone covered, he should have tossed it out.
Forget "offset" penalties. Seems like if there are 12 men on the field at the snap, it should be a dead ball foul and the play never happened. On offense, it's the equivalent of an illegal formation, no? Dumb rule is dumb.
