I agree with most of what you said, but b****ing about Kubiak "abandoning the run" is silly. They were getting two yards a carry for most of the game. Sorry, it wasn't working.

i've been optimistic about JJ but my confidence is pretty shot. He's a quality 3rd wr, but not a second and certainly not a 1st.

that's a great point and what I saw on some of those route. The fake post and cut outside flag, he took too deep of an angle. It's a double move, you have to flaten out a little after you second cut.

The pass was in a nice zone near the sideline, but JJ's break out of the fake was more vertical and not horizontal. Typically, a WR would favor the sideline more that trying to get more vertical...especially if you have a QB that's not going to throw it 50 yards on a rope.

The real difference in the game was that their D-line beat our O-line all day long. The same O-line that was collecting accolades.

It's not the coach or the QB. We got beat man per man. Not much of the stretch plays worked and they were camped out on the bootlegs. Schaub was running for his life and all the check-down passes were challenged and tipped.

Our defense was really good today...our offense stunk and schaub had a lot to do with it...yeah other factors would've made a difference, but a completion percentage of 48% will lose the game most of the time I suspect, especially if you're throwing the ball 51 times! The crap at the end of the game really showed what matt schaub is when the game is on the line. Without pressure he can be really good, with pressure he folds like origami.

With how the o-line looked, I'm surprised the Texans even got to the position to win the game with just one play. They looked like how the Steelers looked last week. The running game never got going and Schaub was pressured nearly every drive.

That Ravens game next week though...

Bryant Johnson has to be better than Jacoby, right?

You gots to defend the battle fighter with the noodle arm until a real QB comes here.

I can say that he's a puss that will do anything he can instead of taking a hit.

ya, schaub's stats were great today. he showed a bunch of poise in the clutch and definitely came up with several huge plays when we needed them.

The recurring theme for the Texans is always what if's

The Vickers play is the one that stands out today but that's just one out of many.

it was certainly a game of "what ifs"...what if Rackers made that FG. What if the texans had seen that pretty obvious fake punt. What it Vicker had caught that ball. What if Schaub had ran. etc.

I know he had just gotten hit on his knee but I wish he would have just ran the ball and laid out. I could have lived with the outcome of that play even if he didn't get in.

This loss stings in the worst way.

Texans are looking more and more like the Oilers every game.

When we were setting up for our final play, I had it all drawn up in my head... bootleg right, nothing there, throw it away or run it in... instead they go empty backfield, Matt waits too long to get rid of it, and ends up forcing one, game over. Just an incredifail all around; and how ironic is it that in a game marred by Schaub over and underthrowing people all day, the play that simply kills us is a dead-on dropped ball touchdown right into the numbers of Vickers.

P.S. I'm ready for Jacoby Jones to be cut.
