Most guys are not, but I know several women who haven't and are in the mid thirties. Pretty much all the guys I know are either married with kids or players, so I know they aren't

I'll say this, I think a lot of people if they aren't promiscuous in their young adulthood (ie 17-24) and don't get married, it could be an understandably difficult thing to share with a prospective date after that point.

 

There were also no undercover female cops, no adult entertainment industry, very few female pop singers and actresses, and a lot less modeling work, possibly even less recreational drug use, so hookers were more attractive and appealing.

Furthermore, there was more pressure for ambitious women to get married, spousal rape couldn't be prosecuted and divorce laws were garbage, so hookers might not have even been all that necessary.

 

I've actually turned down sex multiple times. And the girls I have had sex with wanted it multiple times. It wasn't a hit it and quit it situation.

I'm just saying that there is a LOT of aggravation that goes into trying to get a girl in bed. And I can see why a guy wouldn't want to deal with all of that crap.

Keep flirting with women and keep getting rejected if that's what it takes. You have to be bold and you have to put yourself out there. No one is above sex.

I originally conceded that pretending to be above sex in general was a defense mechanism, but I think there's some sound morally neutral reasoning against sex with a hooker. I think you can probably guess the answer to second question, you're just not a nice enough guy to get a direct one.

I was a virgin until I was 25. I remember it was a big deal for me to have sex back then. And now (27) not so much anymore. I could imagine, however, as somebody gets older it becomes harder and harder for them to lose theri virginity because of all the pressure they build up.

 

My apologies for double posting but,

I am against paying for sex just to get it out of the way. I mean, if you are willing to pay for sex the first time then you are admitting that being a virgin is controlling your life. Just go out, find a compatible opposite sex and after a while consummate your relationship. That is the natural way. Having sex is human nature and no body is above sex.

 

After the first two sentences I expected you to be 40+.

I'm 39 and still a virgin, does that count? I'm waiting to have sex for the right reason and for the right woman. I'm not married but am dating a special woman now who is 32 and is a virgin herself. We have been dating for a year now and about to get married soon. It has nothing to do with religion or not having the confidence to score. We both believe that having sex with your one and only is the greatest gift to us because its the exclusivity that we both have that no one else does. By the way, just because we both virgin doesn't mean we can't satisfy each other sexually so the wait is not that hard to deal with.
