Without looking at player rosters I'd put....Bryant, James, Wade, Bosh, Gasol, Gasol, Odom, Bynum, Durant, Westbrook, Zbo, Rose, Rondo, Pierce, Garnett, Howard, Nowitzki, Nash, Stoudemire, Anthony, Chandler, Bogut, Dwill, Parker, Duncan, Ginobili, Curry, Wall, Iguodala, Granger, Love, Griffin, Ellis, Johnson, Smith, Aldridge all above Martin. That's 36 names right there.
Yes. Top 10. Lowry doesn't get to work with all-star finishers like a number of these guys do, like Billups and Rondo, but he is easily a better all rounded player than a few of them.
I would put these people who to me are "no doubt about it" better than Lowry. williams paul rose curry rondo westbrook An argument can still be made for Nash, but I don't think Billups, Parker and Wall are better than Lowry is today.
Undersized PG's with slightly above average ball handling, perceived poor shooting tendencies, and perceived scoring tendencies tend to not do well in video games based on biased ratings. On the flip side, in 2K11 doing screen stop and pop's with Brooks/Martin and Scola/Yao was awesome. :grin:

I agree that they are embarrassing and probably the reason they got better. However, he did get better consistently in the 2nd part of the season, so I believe that he will be much better than the ratings the video game gives when he is able to play in an NBA season again. Just my opinion.
True, Lowry's overall FG% was 42.6% last year. However, Kevin Martin's was 43.6%. Are you saying that Kevin Martin's shooting was embarrassingly bad last season? Advanced stats are your friend.

Curry has Nash beat in ppg, rpg, 3pt %, FT% Curry has Billups beat in....well everything Curry has Parker beat in ppg, rpg, 3pt %, FT % Curry has Wall beat in ppg and his shooting %'s are so awful the 2.5 more assists and half a rebound are laughable in comparison.
To answer Wekko, absolutely Martin's scoring was embarrassing, but when you get to the FT line 8 and a half times a game compared to about 3 a game, it makes a difference. Especially when you put the FT up at over 88% and the guy going 3 times shoots under 77%. Surely that wasn't hard to understand?
Uh oh... We have a boxscore guy, likely in his teens... Chauncey Billups is far better than Stephen Curry for his tempo control alone. Hell, I would take Andre Miller over Stephen Curry in a nanosecond. This isn't a fantasy basketball draft. You guys are comparing apples to oranges here. There are too many variable that factor into a PGs stats. There really isn't a way to quantifiable say Lowry is better or worse then anyone. What would Lowry's assist numbers look like if he played in a more conventional offense that was centered on PG's to distribute the ball instead of one that is heavy on team assists? What would they look like if he had the surrounding cast that Rondo has? How much better would his defense be if he had a legitimate force defending the rim? (Keep in mind he already was NBA First-Team All Defensive selection by Hollinger.) You can debate it all you want and try and account for age, potential, and small sample sizes but when it boils down to it, we should just be happy that we have a PG that can be included with all those other guys. And in case anyone was wondering, I feel Lowry would be ranked somewhere between 6-10 behind the likes of Rose, Westbrook, Nash, Paul, and DWill. You can make strong arguments for the any of the guys in next group of Lowry, Rondo, Curry, Parker, Kidd, Wall, Holiday, and Jennings. All have stats, championships, or raw skills/potential that could lead anyone to believe them to be "the best of the rest". -James
When you take into account tempo control, leadership, professionalism, defense and accountability, those stats mean diddly doo-doo... Chauncey/Nash/Parker/Kidd and Andre Miller are far better PG's at this point than Stephen Curry...
Curry=Aaron Brooks. you have to understand that the system he plays in inflates his offensive numbers, while at the same time his defense is more than suspect. Also, its going to take alot more than 18ppg for a PG who only dishes out 6 assits in 35 minutes to be considered top 10 in his position.
