They were standing in solidarity for the march.....

They are specifically speaking of the march today. It's plainly obvious.

I hate white people except my family and Ron Paul / Gary Johnson

I liked the Current TV clip with Obermann. Go Current TV Direct TV 358

Now that Cenk , Uygur the Young Turk will be on it will start to give MSNBC a run for its money. I don't trust MSNBC as you can only go so far to oppose corporate interests or it will cut you off.

I still remember when MSNBC fired their top rated host Phil Donahue in the lead up to the Iraq War since he was still having a few anti-war guests on and NBC had decided to be pro-war. Of course Cenk left after they tried to censure him.

austin police chief kept stressing how the police will be there in case anyone gets "violent". seems to me like if they wanted to avoid violence they would keep the f***ing cops away.

we have a really crappy, unprofessional police force here in austin - the protestors need to be careful.

im going to try and bike down there for a couple hours to check it out.

A good reason to support #occupywallstreet

    *******
Contrary to the Wall Street propaganda, Wall Street is a job killer, not a job creator. Wall Street banks and corporations have no interest in creating jobs, educating American children, or assuring that Americans have health care and retirement security. They appeal for ever more tax breaks and regulatory relief only to have yet more money to use as they used their taxpayer provided bailout: to increase executive bonuses, pay dividends, buy other companies, buy back their own stock to increase the value of their stock options, buy political favor, create new financial bubbles, and outsource yet more jobs.

America is far from broke. Our problem is too much money in the wrong places.Wall Street cloaks itself in the American flag to gain public favor, but offshores its profits to avoid paying its share of America’s upkeep—leaving it to the “little people” to pay for the public infrastructure on which Wall Street profits depend. Its relationship to America is that of an alien occupier who comes only to extract, not to build.

The ruckus about the budget deficit is a typical Wall Street inspired and funded political diversion. America is far from broke. Our problem is too much money in the wrong places – unjust but profitable wars, corporate bailouts, and CEO bonuses to name a few. Wall Street banks and corporations are sitting on record amounts of idle cash in the trillions of dollars. Their highest return investments are in the politicians who favor them with public subsidies, tax breaks, and freedom from public oversight.

Occupy Minnesota started today down at the Hennepin government center. Jesse Ventura was there to support them.

In true MN Nice fashion it sounds like they came to agreement with the Hennepin Country Sheriff's office to do this. It seems to me if they are upset at corporate greed they should be occupying US Bank plaza next door.

Did anyone see the Daily Show's piece about it last night with the businesses around the park complaining about the protestors using their bathrooms and asking to dispose of their feces at the stores?

Reminds me that many of these demonstrators are rather immature kids. The movement can really use a "VP for Logistics and Common Sense." If you want to represent the 99%, you probably shouldn't do things, especially feces related things, that tend to piss off the 99%. If they have some more supporters (unions, etc.) now, they probably should get better organized with their bodily function needs.

To put it simply. They should get their sh^t together before they go out occupying.

To be fair, the bankers did not get their sh^t together either before they turned $700 billion bailout into bonus.

Why should the kids have to ,for just camping out?

It's a protest. Started by a bunch of counterculture type college kids. Of course they don't have their **** together before they went out occupying. Their lack of logistical organization is about as suprising as Hank Williams Jr. getting angry and saying stupid **** when interviewed about politics.

But it would good for them to get their **** together now and not look like a bunch of inconsiderate assholes.

From our Washington Insider, Jimmy Williams, here is our Constitutional Amendment:

"No person, corporation or business entity of any type, domestic or foreign, shall be allowed to contribute money, directly or indirectly, to any candidate for Federal office or to contribute money on behalf of or opposed to any type of campaign for Federal office. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, campaign contributions to candidates for Federal office shall not constitute speech of any kind as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution or any amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Congress shall set forth a federal holiday for the purposes of voting for candidates for Federal office."
