That web blog is interesting. I've gone through 8 pages and found 2 asians so far. One is a recent college grad and the other is about to get his PHD...both are worried about getting jobs. I sympathize with the movement, but (racist ranting here) there's a huge lack of whities, latinos, and african americans taking engineering and science majors in college. I'm not saying we asians are doing it right, but it's just much easier to get a good job if you're diving into that hardcore education that's available to everyone who can get into college. And culturally, you get shamed to no end as an asian kid if you don't do well in school and don't take hardcore college classes. Again, I sympathize with them, but there's tons of good jobs out there if you have the right education and right social skills.

And I know I'm not addressing the issue of the richest of the rich manipulating the system to their advantage over the years...but I just feel like this wouldn't be that big of an issue if the majority of this country wasn't as academically lazy as we currently are.

Still waiting for trickle down I suppose. How much longer till you lose the faith?

BTW you don't understand markets either. Just the carefully truncated version of the Koch Brothers and Ron Paul.

Again, I sympathize, and perhaps you are correct that down the line, this asian way of life in america will be screwed too. The thing is, your are right that the bosses and execs of this country don't always have the hardcore degrees (many do though...it depends on the company and the field), and they're generally whities who play game correctly and not always have the technical knowledge.

A big problem with that is a lot...hell, I'll say the vast majority of the unemployed are taking similar majors as the execs, but they don't have the combination of: ivy league pedigree, luck/fortune, connections, talent. If you're not already part of the in-crowd, it's damn hard to get there.

It's still true that in this generation, you're gonna be able to make a good living if you bust your ass and get a tough degree. It's damn hard, but it's doable. Real skills will get you work today. I feel bad for the unemployed, and the super rich have totally been screwing up the country...but honestly, I don't think this would be that big of an issue yet if the non-asians would step up their discipline in education. I know way too many people who bust ass studying ALL DAY EVERY DAY. When doing that won't get you paid, that's when the asians will start revolting too.

I'm hoping for the right group to take hijack this. The group that started this event, Adbusters, has some rather silly and unworkable ideas. Not sure how a "Buy Nothing Day" is suppose to resonate with people nowadays. In fact, I am pretty sure "Buy Nothing Day" is just about the last thing this economy needs.

As wall street goes, so goes the world. And that's worth protesting.

    Central banks=bad

Last POTUS to stand up to the federal reserve had his head blown off in broad daylight. There is a reason our forefathers warned us against central banking institutions.

The first quote below by John Adams should be recognized by all as the times we're in. If only more people understood the privately held central bank aka federal reserve's role in manipulating currency, we'd be better off and would not send people to Washington who would cave to the special interests built around this machine.

Dick Fuld, though unknown what his net worth is, had 80%+ of his net worth in Lehman Stock and was actually on margin for those shares.

He went from one of the most powerful people in the world and a billionaire to a pariah, though he still has a sizable net worth.

I actually agree with clawback provisions if companies default or have accounting scandals post-tenure in a decreasing percentage scale.

If one leaves a company and it blows up, then they should have some of their compensation clawed back and moreso if there was fraud involved.

Lehman though committed stupidity, and not fraud. The CEO and employees are not all broke and in jail but relative to where they all were in 2007, they've been virtually destroyed.

Would you have us torture them now?

Powerful images from tonight's mass march. The twitter went bonkers about 30 minutes ago. Protestors beaten, nets, horses, pepper spray, mace...

And the freaking NYPD counter-terrorism force showed up. Wtf?

The power and influence the lobbyist wield alone is enough for occupy wall street top that off with corporate person hood and this is what you get.

The reason wall street is being occupied was best said by George Carlin.

Occupy Wall Street is an astroturf initiative being organized by Obama's campaign team. Wisconsin was a trial run on the labor issue. This is a trial run on the class warfare issue -- rich vs poor. The single purpose of this effort is to increase Democratic voter enthusiasm, which is at abysmal levels. It is no coincidence that this 'movement' coincides with the 'American Jobs Act' debate in Congress. It is further no coincidence that the Buffett tax is being rolled out at the same time, and Obama is returning to his inner populist roots. Everything is coordinated. Everything. It's a sign that Obama is in trouble -- that he's resorting to essentially his latch ditch effort now. These last ditch efforts are class warfare and racial warfare. Obama has already planted the seeds for the the race riots -- "Put on your marching shoes" is what he told the CBC. This man has already divided our nation -- and he knows his only chance in next year's election is to pursue this scorched earth strategy of division. You've been warned twice now. It will happen -- there are too many vested interests and dollars at stake.

Since there are a myriad of interpretations of the term maybe you could explain your version and how it might function in reality. In my view, it like communism or democracy is a conceptual fantasy that can never exist in reality because it assumes ethical behavior from all the actors, when in fact, every sociological construct is corrupted by the evolutionary, self-serving, nature of men.

I haven't seen the memo, shouldn't I have been notified?
