i do need a QB,dont have to play gabbart though... should i look to drop him and add another QB? guess, i'll go ahead and drop WSH and pick up JAX EDIT: wait just saw dalton is avail...should i drop gabbart add dalton and start him this week?
No. Jacksonville is the worst of those options. Those guys are really bad on D. Get KC or Seattle instead. KC at least has a defensive line and they're playing the Colts, and Seattle doesn't suck on D as much as they suck on O. Yes, I like Dalton over Gabbert. For the same reason mentioned above. Cincinnati's defense is great, and Jacksonville's defense blows mountain goats.
KC has been smashed by injuries, and the Colts are at home. Painter actually looks somewhat competent now, and he's certainly ahead of Gabbert. And Addai is likely going to slice them up pretty good. Seattle is traveling to New York, they are going to get creamed. They are the worst option of all, IMO. With Jacksonville, you at least get a team at home going against a Rookie QB. Not only that, it's likely to be a game dominated by Benson and MJD. Low risk, and that is what I'm gunning for when having to choose between those matchups.
I guess the question is, do I value Beanie Wells just as much as Fred Jackson? I would start a third RB for the flex position (the other two being MJD and Turner).
I see his point, but it should be pointed out that Indy's already bad offensive line suffered yet another injury during Monday's game. Look -- all of these are not good options - it's about finding the least painful option. KC is risky because of the injuries to their secondary, but they still have a pretty good defensive line and allow the 4th fewest points to RBs - no cake for Addai. Even to WRs, they still rank right around average, and they have some speed in the return game. Neither is a good option, but I like KC's chances better this week. Even if Painter plays decently enough, that Indy offense isn't going to set the world on fire, either.
cool. i wasn't trying to get you two in an argument or anything. just trying to get all opinions. this is my first year doing FF, hence i'm in this thread almost daily. getting advice and what not
KC is ranked 26th against the run, I think Addai is going to have a big day. But yeah, we both agree Flyer is boned. it's just about minimizing the risk of ending up with negative points, really. I can't see Cinci/Jax becoming some kind of crazy shoot out. That has field goal fest written all over it.
i mean its all going to work out in the end anyways...everyone in the league is going to be boned at some point. since we have 2 D's everyone is going to run into a week where there defenses are on a bye and will have slim pickings as well. so yea, just trying to get advice as to what to do with the byes
Actually you're right - I had my stats mixed up. I do think the Bengals are going to beat the crap out of the Jags though...if I had to bet on that game I'd take the Bengals easily. That team is quite underrated. I'd say FlyerFanatic should at least consider the possibility of not starting a second D at all and take 0 points instead of risking negative points with one of these plays.
LOL, I got the same 3 guys on my team, except Addai is my flex right now and I need a second receiver after Welker... For WR2 should I do... Doucet? McCluster? or trade either Addai or Redman for a WR, like Johnny Knox, Jacoby Ford, Plaxico, etc? My RB situation is adequate with Foster, Forte, and Hillis (BYE).
I'd take KC over Jax, but I think the Jags would be the safer pick. Painter is inaccurate, but he runs that offense well.
You're still picking between two turds, but I think the Chiefs at least have a better chance of getting sacks/turnovers/fumbles/getting you a DST score. The Colts are battered with injuries -- their starting LT AND his replacement both got injured on Monday and are out. And while Painter he is shown he isn't incompetent, he is still quite inconsistent/inaccurate with his throws and almost guaranteed to throw a pick at some point. Go with KC.
KC does have a significant advantage in special teams play/kick returns, so, if that's your tiebreaker, definitely go with KC. Not only is KC better at the return game, but the Colts are also way worse at covering kicks than Cinci is.
lol, yeah, we kind of ran around in circles for a dozen posts, only to end up in the same place. best of luck, FF!
Just got offered MJD for Fred Jackson. Sounds tempting, Fred Jackson has been playing crazy but he's also pretty old. What do y'all think?
