It will be a great deal for you if Torain and Best stay healthy. Fitzpatrick vs. Philly or Hasselbeck vs. Steelers I have to think Fitzpatrick, since Steelers are tops against the pass this year.
I'm guessing your league counts ST as part of D. Mine doesn't. In terms of actual points produced by the defense, Lions are definitely must start material. If you're counting return points, then there's some weird teams that jump up into consideration.
I don't want any part of a Shannahan backfield. Fool's gold. Here one minute, gone the next. I think I'm going to stick with my team. Stafford is going to eventually come back down to Earth, and Manning is just now heating up. I expect Hillis to come on strong soon, too. And no way in hell am I dumping Forte in the middle of a contract year.
This might be an offer worth considering if his lineup allows for 3 WRs. I'd stand pat either way, though. Quality over quantity typically wins the trade.
I hate to give up Forte, but my team is 4-0 with an average margin of victory of 8 points. I've been lucky up to this point, largely thanks to McFadden/Forte. adding Megatron will bolster my WR corps, and Best is a serviceable back in a PPR format. If Torain ends up with the lion's share in Shannyland, it will benefit me... if not, you'll probably come out better. Regardless, you have a QB and a legit RB1 now.
the league settings are 1 QB, 2 RB's, 2 WR's, 1 flex WR/RB, 1 TE, 1 D, 1 Kicker...so the standard default fantasy football settings that ESPN has But yea..thanks for all of the advice so far. it's been really helpful. ill have to think about that counter that juicy had
Knowing that, I say definitely no to that trade. You should be able to start an RB almost every week in that flex spot that will get you certain points. That or you can find a waiver wire pickup in place of Torrey Smith that has a good matchup.
thanks. heres my bench: WR-Robert Meachem TE-Antonio Gates WR-Mike Sims-Walker RB-Darren Sproles RB-Tim Hightower QB-Blaine Gabbart defenses avail: KC CAR JAX SEA the other 3 avail are all on a bye
yea, we play 2 D, so everyone has all the D's. also i picked up olindo mare, folk/henerey were gone so i'll drop WSH since theyre on the bye, and pick up JAX? we sure about that? lol. also is gabbart ok to fill in for romo at the QB spot this week? or should i be looking at grabbing another QB?
I think he still needs another WR with the Bye weeks approaching, and the fact that somebody is going to miss a game here or there. Of course he could fill that spot by trading a RB for a WR instead.
Bye weeks are a concern, but I think he's better off dumpster diving on the waiver wire for a WR than making that trade, Jones and White are too shakey for my taste.
I suppose you will be starting Gabbert in Romo's place? Since the defense choices are terrible, I'd cut MSW for KC. They've been a lot better the last 2 weeks, and Indy hasn't gotten much done on offense. Jacksonville is the only other option of those choices.
