Do you not own a TV also? because that theme is on over the air tv, on Sunday Nights on NBC.

I didn't watch the intro to MNF, but please no Fergie. NO FERGIE.

I loved the old NBC theme. It gives me this old warm and fuzzy feeling.

You're like the 4 year old kid that does something bad after he sees his classmate do something and his excuse is "well he did it first!" Anybody that compared/compares Bush to Hitler deserves the same thrashing.

As far as the Tea Party is concerned and I think you missed the point I was making... As a whole, they believe that being PC is weak and we should be more "honest." The problem is that when you show your true feelings outside your circle of peers, you are bound to say something that sounds rather dumb and offensive to others.

To add to my point, if you listen to AM talk radio, 90% of the time it's all about bashing liberals and labeling them as enemies. It's like a mad lib book that says the same crap over and over again... Progressives/liberals are ruining America and they are our enemies.

Just because you say something a million times doesn't make it true. This propaganda (and yes, both sides do it) is what is driving us apart. But hey, if people would prefer to act like scared turtles and cowards instead of compromising and working things out like adults... that's their right.

LOL this is what happens when you refer to the president as the "Enemy" and sprinkle in a bit of Hitler.

And the idiot claims he quit because ESPN "stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment Freedom of Speech". What a loser, just like the Dixie Chicks.

I have no problem with ESPN getting rid of Hank Williams about a reference to Hitler.

I do have a problem with them not being consistent.

    http://www.aolnews.com/2008/06/17/jemele-hill-suspended-over-hitler-comment/

Apparently they have no issue getting rid of HWJ over this Hitler comment but when one of their own writers uses a Hitler comparision in her article, that only warrants suspension.

    Huh.

Interesting sidebar...I made this same comment on the "comments" section of the ESPN story link dedicated to the Hank Williams "severing ties" story.

I am now "banned" from posting for a minimum of 24 hours.

    1. Did the girl in the first segment even get a chance to chime in?

    2. I like how Finebaum took what the other two guests in the second segement said and twisted it around like they are saying something absolutely hateful toward the people in Alabama. What a huge freaking douche!

The guy from Alabama was steamed. Looks like he knows HWJ and his temper got the better of him trying to defend his "friend". He'd had enough and pushed back and then made some idiotic comments to the guy from North Carolina.

The "Dave" guy that was in both segments on the other had was ignorant and arrogant and made a lot of accusations that seemed like piling on to me.

The other guy from North Carolina was the smartest one there and the most balanced.

no what's "driving us apart" is the basic ignorant American compunction to judge others and label everything.

the Tea Party isn't inherently any more evil than AIPAC, Democrats or the Congressional Black Caucus. it's individuals pushing their own agenda, some good some bad. which is what the country is about.

And really what difference does it make when some ******* compares someone to Hitler? You can talk **** about any of a half dozen extant real world heads of state in the name of "freedom" but you can't make a stupid statement about a historical figure dead and buried with a disgraced ideology? It's an ignorant statement but the idea that you get pulled from MNF for that **** says more about how far American has fallen than any drunken rambling by some redneck.
