As long as the Texans are ahead by halftime I will be happy. :)

Garbage would be a good choice. I'd tune in.

Perhaps NBC is trying to capture another audience? Also, Madonna is a global name. They know sports fans/ football fans/casual etc fans are tuning in regardless why not capture another market?

Like it or not seems like a pretty genius marketing idea.

    Madonna, really?

Hopefully she does her earlier stuff. Borderline is probably my favorite Madonna song of all time.

But I am absolutely certain that two songs on the set list will be:

    Like a prayer
    Holiday

Like a prayer because the superbowl LOVES choirs.
Holiday because superbowl sunday is a national holiday, right?

You are a horrible, horrible person for wishing that motley crew of horrid singers on Prince.

By the by, I still maintain the only SB halftime shows worth a dime over the past decade or so were the Prince HT show and the Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street band HT show. The rest blew massively.

Prince, Tom Petty, and Paul McCartney we're all pretty good.

The Who, Springstein, and the Stones just looked so damn old it was kinda sad. After a certain age, some guys shouldn't still be performing.

I hated the black eyed peas before that embarrassment last year.

I wish they'd get a modern rock band for once

Springsteen was the best halftime show in years. I know some people didn't like it, but the majority liked it.

Back to the plus fifty artist. Why not get coldplay or Jay z or kanye or even Taylor swift. Someone under fifty.

You need to slap yourself twice for including Springsteen in the 2nd paragraph instead of the 1st.

The Boss had a good HT show just like Prince, Petty and McCartney did. (I didn't care for McCartney's but I didn't think it was as bad as some others).

Now The Who and The Stones mention is fine with me because I didn't rate either performance and the less said about the B.E.P's the better.

That makes too much sense, how dare you speak such brilliance?

Seriously it makes one wonder about the Events committee at the NFL office and those that plan for the SB HT show.

It makes so much sense to go with a Coldplay or Jay-Z and Kanye or Taylor Swift even.

So much sense that of course the NFL won't do that.

That little old band from Texas.

Or Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

While that wouldn't be bad, they suck too. All their songs sound the same.

I'd rather have Nickelback, Bruno Mars, or something like that. And that's saying a lot because I don't really like any of those.

They just constantly pick complete crap. I'd rather they show commercials for an hour. They'd make more money.

So you would make the show even worse?

Christ, I loved Ashlee Simpson's Orange Bowl debacle. 70,000 people who probably paid at least $500 a pop to cheer for four hours and she just gets a whole stadium of boos. "Ah-ah-ah-ahhhh!"

As long as she doesn't distract the Texans during their halftime preparations :)
