This is what I was referring to. - How did he know that the 911 operator would send him the exact pair of EMS employees he was looking to kill? He would have been up ***** creek if someone else responded. - How could he have known that both would get out of the ambulance at the same time and kneel next to him so he could take them out simultaneously? - Do EMS workers not "touch base" with someone on a fairly regular basis? Assuming this was like most of Dexter's kills in the past, he had them unconscious for at least an hour. Nobody is going to get suspicious and come looking for them at their last known destination? - How do you report a stabbing without cops showing up? I really hate to pick this stuff apart, but this scene was particularly far fetched.
It was just a mind**** for mind****'s sake; just to make you laugh a little and let it go. I don't view it as an integral part of the plot.
Integral part of the plot? Well, no. Doesn't mean I should be alright with the writers throwing logic and common sense out the window in the very first scene of the season.
Agree that it was sloppy, but i figured they want you to assume they went missing and case hasnt been solved, not important to the episode...i just thought sticking two people so quickly, after laying down "unconscious", was really unrealistic. He's a great serial killer, not a ninja.
I guess you could say that, but isn't it to be expected? Dexter is emotionally stunted, so it's no surprise he doesn't reflect on that situation too often, and I wouldn't expect other characters to keep reminding him about his murdered ex-wife.
Yeah but the promo (the one with the life house song) and the preview for season 5 implied that Dexter would be confuse and lost and Quinn thought he killed Rita. Maybe that’s what I didn’t like I hooked up with Deb and he just ignores what his ex cop friend finds out about Dex. Still a good season.
Question and a Comment 1. Question: When did Deb find out the Brian was Dexter's brother? Comment: Has to go in one of the Best Villian Categories. She is such a manipulative beast! Rocket River
In season 4 when Deb researches on her dad sleeping with around with his informants, one of which is Brian and Dexter's mom.
Ok. I knew that she found their mom I did not know she made the connection I missed the F***ity F*** F*** scene that must have ensued Rocket River
It’s wired because she finds the news paper clip of Dexter’s mom death and the paper names Dexter and Brian by name in that clip so she made the connection. But in season one when Dexter was investigating his mother he didn’t even know he had a brother until he got to the old house. Is Deb just a better detective?
I really don't understand why Deb would have just blindly followed LaGuerta's advice to "be herself", but it seems like Matthews is determined to undermine her bull****. As a side though, I'm really enjoying the whole Doomsday Killer angle so far, nice and creepy.
Probably. Dexter is not a detective. . . he is a Blood Splatter expert So I will assume most of his detective skills are amature-ish taught by his adoptive father Rocket River
I always find that so funny that Dexter is a much better detective than all of the other detectives. He always find the killers first.
Anyone else liking this season so far? I think Mos Def has been a great addition and I like the fact that they are going back to season one status(creepy murders with messages, laguerta being a b**** and deb having some confidence issues and etc.). Does anybody think Olmos is imaginary to Colin Hanks character? Like how Harry is to Dexter. I havent noticed anyone acknowledge Olmos and it can be all in Hanks mind.
Didnt that girl wake up tied up? Olmos has to be real, unless Hanks is sleepwalking. I also wouldnt see the point of Olmos watching both in bed if he was imaginary.
I'm thinking that Hanks tied her up and forgetting somehow. How did Olmos get the girl from the bed to the kitchen tied up without waking up Hanks? I'm sure she would've screamed and put up a struggle. I'm not sure,I just think it would be a pretty cool twist.
