You really want to defend one of the biggest d-bags in ClutchFans history? And this year, reincarnated as Bevis he "So What" the Texans to an 11-5 record. Oh and one of his other predictions in the DD forum..."I have inside knowledge that between September 27 to October 3 will be something major destructive to the New York to Washington dc area. Mainly either a earthquake or tsunami."
That sounds familiar Let's try it: Schaub has his running game (Arian looks to be in form now) and has been a good game manager. *grin* Not saying Hasselbeck is a better or equal QB but I think this is the same formula the Texans are using just that the Texans have a better overall offense Dunno how the two defenses compare but the Titans sound like their Defense is stout Rocket River
What's scary/worrisome is that Hasselbeck has been, almost indisputably, the better QB across the board so far this year: Higher QB Rating More passing yards per game Higher completion % More Yards per attempt More TDs Fewer sacks taken Equal INTs All this with a much weaker running game (they are still at the bottom of the league while we're #4 despite only 1.3 games with Foster). Facing: Cle, #4 Passing D, 196 ypg and 55% compl Bal, #7 Passing D, 212 ypg and 53% compl Jax, #14 Passing D, 229 ypg and 64% compl Den, #23 Passing D, 275 ypg and 70% compl While we took on: #30 Mia, 307 and 63% #20 NO, 254 and 52% #19 IND, 252 and 69% #1 PIT, 158 and 58% I've generally said that the receiving corps and scheme make Schaub look good and not the other way around. Staring down a stretch without AJ has me somewhat concerned. It's my hope we can tread water (split the next two games) and get him back for our first game against the Titans. In a two horse race, it's beyond crucial that we take this series. We need to act as if we are behind them: a) they finished last in the division last year, earning the cupcake flex games (Bills are going to fall back to earth). b) they managed to upset the Ravens, a matchup I'm not looking forward to. There was talk that the Saints game was "the biggest in franchise history" - New Years may blow that claim out of the water.
How the the t*** end up not playing the saints this year? I thought all division teams were supposed to play the same non-division teams.
I'm glad we beat the Steelers, but I wish we wouldn't have beat UP the Steelers.... Just our luck that we soften them up for the titans the very next week. May as well pencil them in at 4-1, since Ben and Harrison won't be playing.
Anyone else scared to death of the Titans taking this division away from us with a 12-4 kinda season? Their schedule is too damn easy...
i'm not really scared but am surprised by how good they have been. I was never as down on Hasselbeck as most, but didn't think he'd play that well. I also thought their defense would suffer more but so far they've been pretty good. Granted, they really haven't played a good offense yet. The texans certainly helped them out by banging up Ben and taking out Harrison
Ben is playing and they are coming off a loss at home. I think the steelers have a good chance to win. Keep in mind, the Titans have already lost to that horrible Jag team. The Titans are overrated.
Division games can be deceiving. They're upset central, since the two know each other so well. Titans also crushed the 3-1 Ravens. I absolutely agree we're the better team, but they aren't going to be the sad sacks we were hoping they'd be. Having a competent QB replace the disaster combo of Young/Collins has been huge for them, even with Britt out for the year. The defense is intact - no one's gotten out of the teens on them yet. But yeah, it's in our hands. Take care of business against the Jags and Colts and at least split with the Titans. We can do it.
Well, it's a 10 game season now... next week's game is absolutely critical. Titans: 3-2 (0-1 division, 3-2 conf) vs HOU vs IND vs CIN @ CAR @ ATL vs TB @ BUF vs NO @ IND vs JAX @ HOU Texans: 3-3 (1-0 division, 3-2 conf) @ TEN vs JAX vs CLE @ TB @ JAX vs ATL @ CIN vs CAR @ IND vs TEN It almost seems like destiny that we'll be playing for the Titans for the division title in week 17. But if we lose to the Titans next week, we'll pretty much have to go spotless in conference play if we want to have a chance to beat them in a tie-breaker.
next 3 and last 3 are must wins. then maybe you get the @JAX or ATL home or both. Get one you are 10-6, get both 11-5. I think either wins the South.
Despite Texans having a 3-3 record , the Texans should win the horrible AFC South . Colts are total garbage w/o Manning , Jags are totally rebuilding , Titans are mediocre at best .
Looks like Tennessee has one probable playoff team on their schedule (NO), two possible ones (BUF, TB), and one outside possibility (ATL). Texans have just one possible one (TB) and one outside one (ATL). That's about as easy a schedule as they could ask for.
