Anyone know of any crossfit groups that get together?

I had a month deal that just ended and really don't feel like paying the $150+ per month fee to continue. That being said, I want to continue with the program but at a place or with a group that charges a lower fee

I know I can do it on my own etc etc, but that's not going to happen

    any suggestions?

    preferably in the memorial/galleria area

just google map them and it'll show you the locations....i think there's two around midtown/heights area. There may be one around the AMC 30 (dunvale) as well.

150 a month is a hell of a lot for a minimalistic approach to physical fitness.

Did you do the Village Crossfit Groupon? I thought about trying them, but the location was inconvenient. I go to CrossFit Roughnecks downtown, and I really like it, but I pay $155/month. The best one I know of in your area is P3 Crossfit, but I have no clue how much they charge.

I've thought about trying to just get a group together and find a gym where we could do the workouts, but I still need coaching, especially on the Olympic lifts.

I guess that's why so many of them are popping up now. Good business, although you're mostly paying for the environment and social aspect of it.

To be fair, it's about normal for group training. It's expensive for a gym membership, but you're getting more than just a gym membership. (Or at least you should be.)

Not that I know of, my buddy isn't a Clutchfans fan at all and is a fairweather Rockets fan

    Their rates per their website:

    2x/week (8x/month) = $90/month
    3x/week (12x/month) = $125/month
    Unlimited Monthly: $140/month

With some discounts for students, teachers, military etc.

They give you a week free, so you can always workout for a week and not show back up.

We should start the Crossfit Clutchfans Box and charge $150 per month!
