Just saw this in the Football forum. Mods lock it up or merge depending if you think it's D&D material.

I have never understood the various broadcasts overuse of bad songs and production before football games. I think we can all stand united in the desire for less talking and music and more football.

i dont think off-the-cuff comments from celebrities should be taken that seriously - but conservatives sure do make a stink about it when it is against "their" guy.

remember the dixie chicks? they didnt compare bush to hitler...they just said they were against war and were ashamed that bush pretends he is from their state. will the reaction against hank williams jr be the same? will they be burning his records? will clear channel ban his songs from being played?

what about ted nugent? he called hillary and b**** and invited obama to suck on his machine gun - but he is a regular guest on fox news...the very network that never fails to point out when any "liberal" makes any outrageous comment against a republican.

Tea Party Nation founder stands behind Hank Williams, calls for boycott of ESPN. "No Hank, no football."

It's been moved twice already. It was originally in the Hangout, moved briefly to D&D then here.

What really ticked me off about the Dixie Chicks was they did it on foreign soil to a foreign crowd. Pathetic. Say it at home, no problem. I say this as someone who thinks George W Bush was a catastrophic disaster of a president who plowed this country straight into the ground and into broken pieces.

People like Hank Williams Jr. who compare Obama to Hitler are just extremist idiots.

There are extremists in both parties. Both should be called out when they say dumb crap.

This guy is a poser just like Joe the Plumber. He grew up with celebrities and pretends to stick up for the average... Joe.

The man is free to say whatever he pleases. As an employee or somebody under contract, you should know that you are liable for certain things you do or say. The guy was on a gravy train with MNF and that train just got derailed.

i got no problem w/ what Hank said, nor do i ave an issue w/ Disney's reaction. my problem was w/ your ad hominem attack on the tea party, and apparent amnesia as to what the country was like from 2000-8.

Moment of Zen from last night's Daily Show once again shows why Fox News is not a real news organization. They asked Boracist, I mean Bocephus for his opinion on politics on the exact same day Gretchen Carlson bemoans the opinions of celebrities and says we shouldn't care what they think. You can't make this s&*t up.

Good. Now maybe we can go back to the theme song I grew up with...

    Da-da-da-Da-Duh-dunt, Da-da-da-Da-Duh-dunt!

Hank's was OK, but it never sounded right to me after being raised on the original with Frank, Dandy Don, and Howard.

Also, it's too damn bad Hank Williams, Jr. doesn't design Rocket uniforms. If he did, maybe Les would be forced to go back to the true Rocket unis.

And if he wasn't a celebrity musician he wouldn't have been invited. How many other people with no previous experience holding a political office and who claim to be interested in running for a federal or state office did Fox and Friend invite to appear on the program?
