Is it me . . . or is the Raider game seem like it is harder
than it should be . . . when you look at it on paper

They seem to always play the Texans hard.

    A few stats to chew:

    Raiders Defense
Total yards allowed per game: 29th
Passing yards allowed per game: 22nd
    Opponent's QBR: 17th
Rushing yards allowed per game: 29th

    Raiders Offense
    Total yards: 8th
    Passing yards: 22nd
    QBR: 11th
    Rushing: 1st

I think the task is clear, stop Run DMC, force Campbell to throw inside the redzone, get the pterodactyl flying, Matt has to be accurate inside the 20s.

    Raiders Special Teams
    Kick return yards: 32nd
    Punt yards: 1st

Moes, who is the Raiders redzone target?

I think this game is a toss up without AJ, so going to say :

    Texans 24
    Raiders 21

Punt Yards - I am guess that is punting . .not punt return
[I hope punt return and kick off returns = kick return]

if both teams run well . .the field position game maybe key

    Could be low scoring too

    24 - Texans
    13 - Raiders

    Yes, that is correct.

I think the Raiders will cough this game up with dumb mistakes.

    Texans 27
    Raiders 23

    Supporting evidence:

    Oakland Penalties
    Offense: 1st (most)
    Defense: 11th (tied)

put wade in the box with his leather helmet if you have to. Stop the run at all costs.

I say arian comes back to reclaim his title of mr. awesomeness. 280 total yards for the contrarian. Texans 31 Raiders 13. Texans D gets Five(sacks) on it. =)

Also, they have to stay away from stupid penalties, and the refs should let some things slide.

    Texans Penalties
    Offense: 17th (most)
    Defense: 31st (tied)

They play fairly disciplined ball, but +1 in the turnover battle would help on Sunday, especially with Lecher punting his balls off.

Ill be in Houston this weeked for UFC 136 and this game! Cannot wait!

Seems like AJ should definetely be out, which is ok, we should still win this game with our deffense and rushing attack. Schaub will have to step and spread the ball around.

These next few weeks (cross fingers its only 2-3) that AJ is out could really make or break Schaub in the eyes of some of the fans. He will still have one of the best rushers and o-lines in the league and a solid defense. Matt has to perfrom well, not great, just take care of the ball.

You know what really makes me excited about that stat?

They played the Broncos, Bills, Jets, and Patriots... only 1 of those teams even runs the ball competently, if at all.

The Texans haven't faced a decent running team, either, but we're sitting pretty at 18th compared to the Raiders.

Last season Texans won @ OAK 31-24 w/o Andre Johnson. Foster didn't play until the 2nd half and still ripped off 187 total yards and 2 TD's. Ward went 12/80 with a TD on the ground, and even Slaton went for 5/37 rushing. Schaub was only 16/29 passing in this one, though of course Daniels wasn't healthy then. So I really hope Tate and/or Ward is active for this one cause Texans can run down their throats especially if Foster keeps fresh.

In addition to this, they're only 9th in carries against, giving up a league worst 5.9 YPC. As long as the Texans exploit this weakness on offense, and do their best to limit DMC on defense and force Campbell to make plays they should come away with a win here. Raiders have some good young WR's (Moore & Ford) but that passing game is still a work in progress.

They still run a 3-4 right? Shaughnessy - Kelly - Seymour is a pretty established front 3 but I think they've only won against the league's weaker OL like Denver and NYJ. Just please keep an LB on permanent McFadden duty and don't turn the ball over.

For two teams that have been facing each other every season for a real long time, it's pretty cool to think that this could be the year that both teams come out as divisional champs.

Turnovers are key. Turn them over then run it down their throats. Well, that's the plan for every team we play, except maybe the Ravens.

They're just as scared of our RB as we are of theirs.
