The loss of Kenny Britt changes the complexion of my whole team. I'm still deep but everyone gets pushed down the depth chart. Britt was such a beast.
Just made this deal, not entirely happy about it, but wasn't making progress with anyone else in the league for another WR. QBx1 Drew Brees Ryan Fitzpatrick WRx3 Stevie Johnson Steve Smith Julio Jones (receive) AJ Green Denarius Moore Mario Manningham RBx2 Arian Foster Beanie Wells Ryan Mathews (send) Chris Johnson James Starks TEx1 Jermichael Finley Waiver pickup: (#2 priority right now) Ryan Torain (RB)
Was facing Freeman tonight up by 24. He kneeled at the end for -1 rushing yards. I win 95.84 to 95.48. Lulz. Won by 4 rush/rec yards.
K. Good. Cuz I pulled the trigger hours ago. I just had a special feeling about Blount early in the year. Still kind of do. But its like they don't trust him as an every down guy. Which is weird.
I need a TE in two of my leagues. One is PPR, the other one is non-PPR. Who should I pick up? Jared Cook or Greg Olsen Please suggest in PPR and non-PPR. Thanks!
I like Blount too naturally as he's a Duck. As you may have seen today he wears down the opposing D as the game goes but it takes him a while to get started at times and sometimes he can't get started at all. He's like that old classic All American muscle car... you get that beast fired up and it's unstoppable. The catch is sometimes it won't fire up.
Whew! That first miss by Barth had me worried but he came back and got me 6 total points. The byes start kicking in next week so I am expecting a lot more posts in this thread.:grin: I've got a bye next week, here is my opponent:
Don't like either of those options. I hate starting anyone from New England's backfield - Ridley looks promising but those guys could be superstars one week and zeroes the next depending on what juju Belichick feels like using that particular Sunday. I'd be more comfortable with a Ryan Torain, Montario Hardesty, Kendall Hunter or even Jacoby Jones in your flex spot. (Edit) I think Torain has a bye in week 5 though. Not sure.
I have now been offered Peyton Hillis and a bag of peanuts (Chargers D) for Cam Newton. I'm inclined to say no. For one I have no one to fill in as a bye week starter anyway with Romo on a bye this week, and in my opinion Cam Newton has now entered 2010 Michael Vick territory so his price is going to be higher. Besides, I'm starting to get concerned about Peyton Hillis losing touches to Montario Hardesty.
Hillis is going to be fine. Strep throat and facing a good run D back to back weeks is going to hurt a bit.
I'm seriously considering benching MJD over Beanie Wells. No one is going to have big numbers on just 11 carries. F Jack Del Rio.
http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2011/10/cleveland_browns_coach_pat_shu_8.html The above article angers me and shows how incompetent Shurmur is. As a Hillis owner I've been watching him closely all season. I'm worried cause Shurmur seems clueless on how to run that offense. He needs to feed Hillis a bare minimum 20 times per game regardless of how many points the Browns are down. Just because you are down doesn't mean you abandaon the run. Hillis is by far the best weapon on that team and he makes that team go and opens up the passing game. 10 rushes like this past week isn't going to get it done. In week 2 Hillis was fed 27 times and produced 2 td's and almost a 100 yards. That's the way it should be. The biggest thing that bothers me though is they don't run him as much as they should on 3rd and short and in the red zone. Don't try to get cute and pass it. Furthermore, hardesty is garbage and he should see 10 touches max.
It also scares me when Colt F'n McCoy has 61 pass attempts in a single game. That should be about his total over 3 games. And Hardesty is far from garbage.
With Andre Johnson out with an injury, I have a WR slot that I don't know what to do with. I have Marques Colston, Robert Meachem, and Nate Washington. Who do I put in that slot?
