I just figure out why AJ isn't as good Moss and Megatron

First let start by saying I love AJ. He's a wonderful receiver and classy guy.

I've been trying to figure out why AJ doesn't have the touchdown numbers that Megatron, Fitz and Moss have or has had. AJ isn't very fast after the catch. He gets run down by the safeties and corners a lot.

Compare these two highlight videos of AJ and Moss. Notice how AJ seldom gets behind his cover and when he does, he gets caught before he scores. Now watch the video of Moss. Notice how when gets behind his coverman, he gone and no one catches him. This is was what was special about Rice also. Rice wasn't fast but seldom did he get caught after the catch. He ran just as fast with the ball as without the ball.

Blame Schaub not Andre ... Rarely do I see Andre catch a deep ball in stride...

Watch the highlights and notice how Moss get separation after the catch even when the corner is draped all over him. That is what made Moss special. He could be double covered, catch a ball with people all over him and still run away from the defender after he came down with the ball. Rice was probably more special in that regard because he was not as physically gifted as Moss.
