I can vouch for kam, there was easily at least 25,000 Steelers fans there. They were all over the place, and it almost looked like a neutral site game. For the guy that keeps disagreeing, were you at the game?
I'm not gonna lie to you, I tried to sell my seats on craigslist an within 1 hour I had 4 people contact me. 3 were out of area numbers. One was from Massachusetts, one from Oregon, and one from Ohio. I really doubt they were Texans fans. Think about it, if you had season tickets and you could make back a third of what it cost you with one game, wouldn't you consider selling too? That's why there were so many Steelers fans there.
Past two weeks he has been nothing but negative against us over everything and jumps at the first chance to say something about us.
YEAH SUCKAS! Now what? 25K. (30 perhaps) The thing about Steeler fans is that they are one of those teams that have a nationwide following like the Raiders, Packers, ::barfs icon:: Cowboys, and Redskins. The Raiders, Steelers, and Cowboys were big in the 70s when the NFL was really getting big, so they had that kind of following. I don't know how big the latino population is in Western PA, but I saw many hispanic folks with Steelers gear. I think a lot of them came up from Mexico to watch the game. They didn't talk like Mexicans in America, they talked like Mexicans from Mexico. I saw some lady with Steelers gear and a Mexico flag.
Just want to know what he exactly said. I remember he gave a lot of props to the texan's offens both weeks.
There is no way there were 25k Steelers fans...no way. Sure, there were plenty of people dressed in black and yellow...but there is no way that more than 1 out of 3 people were Steelers fans...thats just absolutely absurd. Id say the number was at least 10k, but no more than 15k. Somewhere in the middle is most likely.
It pissed me off when he was praising Ben on a freaking 3rd down incomplete pass. I mean really? Really? Wow...
In my section, there was a guy walking up the steps to his seat. He was telling all of us the Cowboys were already up 7-0. He says he's a Cowboys fan, don't let the Texans gear fool you. Dude had the cap, jersey, I think beads. What a loser. I saw Hunter Pence, I saw Dan Pastorini, I saw Manchester United, thought it was Wayne Rooney at first, not sure who number 16 is. I saw Bayern Munich, I saw the Lakers Kobe Bryant, and some Tony Romos here and there.
what? Im saying that if there were 25k Steeler fans at the game, then that means 1 out of 3 in attendance were Steelers fans. It looks like a lot of yellow and black out there, specially with the towels waving, but in my section (103), there were maybe 6-8 Steeler fans within a block of 40 fans. They were loud, they were obnoxious, but no way was it a case where you have 1 Steeler fan for every two Texan fans. Edit: Also, if there were 25-30k Steeler fans, that would leave 40k Texan fans...and I find it hard to believe that only 40k fans would be able to generate the noise level during those defensive third downs in the 4th quarter.
I think Texans fan were overcompensating for the crowd size. I guess they felt like they needed to be extra loud because there were extra away team fans. On the post game show, ND said it looked around 60/40. There was a family of 6 with a hot ass milf mom to my immediate right that were Steeler fans. There were a whole crap load behind me. There were a whole bunch in front of me.
Its very simple...just watch highlights of the crowd...and blue and red completely dominates black and yellow. For instance, pause at 19 seconds. Or the 3:51 mark when OD scores the TD...Or watch any other shot of the fans. Also, ND might know football, but I'd venture to guess that I know more about statistics and fractions. Him saying 60/40 would be equivalent to me drawing up a defensive scheme. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ja1x_WP5IUw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I wasn't at the game but just watching it, I made the comment that there had to be at least 10,000 Steeler fans there. At one point they were showing a section and it was 75% black and white. I don't believe the 25-30,000 number but over 15,000 is probably legit. Either way, F#$k it, we won.
Prisoner A: I'd really like a steak right now. Prisoner B: Me too, but only if it was a perfect medium-rare. Prisoner A: Really? What if it was medium? Prisoner B: I'd throw it away. This thread is filled with so much stupid crap, that it's hard to read.
this is a freaking transplant city. Everyone know that. I would not be surprised if the Steelers fans made a big showing.
