The grey areas are not available for psl. I'm guessing it's not 60K season ticket holders. Probably near 53-55K or so.
The Texans have around 65,000 season tickets. I believe they are the top one or two teams in terms of percentage of season tickets sold to their stadiums seating capacity.
It was more like 75 percent texans fans. Also the reason the steelers had so many fans was because the tickets were selling for good money and season ticket holders sold their tickets to steelers fans on stub hub or the NFL ticket exchange.
I still say BS. There were not 18,000 Steelers fans there today. The problem/bias that everybody has is that they actually made noise when the Texans fans weren't... that creates the illusion that there were tons of Steelers fans there. You couldn't get 18,000 Steelers fans here even if it was a scrimmage between the Steelers offense and the Steelers defense. You couldn't get 18,000 Steelers fans to a Philly or Buffalo game (much closer venues). You couldn't get 18,000 Steelers fans here even if it was a "come kiss Chuck Knoll" promo.
The passing game is definitely going to be more of a dink and dunk offense now with very few YAC. I think the thing Matt's going to miss most is AJ's sure-hands on the slant route across the middle. He never hooked up with AJ deep as much as I expected him to. I expect teams with good short/intermediate zones are going to be troublesome for us while he's out. AJ is great at shredding those.
Agreed with this logic. I was at the Saints game last weekend and although there were probably only 20-30 texans fans in my section, we sure made it seem like there were a lot more every the Texans got a first down or scored. We were loud but no way there was more than 10,000 texans fans at that game (and we're 6 hours away).
Just because they have a section of steelers fans, in which the camera focused on, and some more scattered throughout Reliant does not mean 40% were steelers. You guys have seen and heard when we play the spurs in San antonio, how the rowdies get extremely loud. Yet that doesn't mean that half of the att was filled with rockets fans. The "fans" that attended were just loud, just like the rowdies are loud. Funny, those same "fans" were being quiet during the offensive play calling, real steelers fans wouldn't do that. Also, Texans fans were responsible for a couple of false starts for Pitt. Big Sexy said that himself.
THE GOD DAMN NUMBER IS AROUND NORTH OF 60,000. If I was unsure about it, I'd say I was unsure. See, I typed in caps. So i'm serious. It's been said many times before damnit.
Either way, there wasn't 50% of every friggin section waving towels... although the 60K season ticket holder number does explain the large number of people calling into 610 threatening to cancel their tickets after every loss.
610, The Official Iraqi information director of the Texans said it seemed like it was 60-40. That's give or take 30,000. Those sucker ass STH of the Texans were trying to make a buck.
Tickets in my section, 107, were selling or 500 weeks before.....up to 700 yesterday. Was insane not to sell at those prices
All that means to me is that 12,000 people wasted their money and went home sad. And that is AWESOME ! DD
I noticed that he gets a hard on anytime Ben Roethlisberger takes a step in the pocket. Even the most pedestrian of accomplishments by Ben would get an enthusiastic 'Look at the athleticism!!!!' from Dierdorf.
