BCS Bowl game caliber offense. Div II caliber defense.

Still it is a road win, for some reason UTEP thinks of us as their big rival and plays like it.

We have a LOT of weapons, we hadn't even used Charles Sims that much before today's game.

A good team will exploit the heck out of that defense though. The only saving grace is there may not be a really good team on our schedule. Though if SMU plays TCU close as I anticipate, it may be that they can beat us.

3rd road win so far this season. I'll take that all day. 5-0 feels nice, first time since I've followed the Coogs. The defense hurts me, but Keenum and the boys are never out of a game.

Our offense is an absolute joy to watch. You HAVE to keep us off the field. Hayes and Sims are the truth!!

I was expecting a game like this, Utep imo are our biggest rivals right now. It's like a divisional game in the NFL - throw records out the window because these teams know each other so well its going to be an all out fight.

I expect every team from here on out to call 50% draws up the middle. :(

Ugh. Please. They treat it like it's a big deal, we don't really care.

Tulsa and Rice, and even SMU, are a bigger deal for a lot of reasons.

Tulsa has been our chief rival in the West since they joined CUSA, and Rice/SMU have roots going back to the SWC.

Not really. One game, big whoop.

UTEP is no threat to the West title, Tulsa is. And then you add in the Todd Graham factor on top of it. Too bad he's gone, is Bill Blankenship as much of a douchenozzle as TG was? I hope so!

Now SMU is competitive, and Rice has the geographical rivalry.

    UTEP is just another game.

That's just not how it was on campus, everyone here expected a tough game albeit not giving up that many yards of course. They live to spoil us.

Yes, they live to spoil us. We don't live to beat them. Not a rival. And god willing, never will be.

Agreed, but I UTEP has been a pain in our azz, so it was a nice win...fun game to watch, but damn that Defense...it's like that every year, but the offense bails us out...5-0 is nice...

Stewart is garbage. I do not care if he has an NFL pedigree, he does not know what he is doing.

I respectfully disagree. I believe this is the most talent they have had on defense in 20 years. Unfortunately they are very poorly coached and prepared.
