Not to be a homer but if overall is really based on how good of an all around game the player has, wouldn't Hakeem be 98 at the least? If he doesn't have 99 block and very high steals with high awareness for offense and defense, then it's clear they just didn't want him to be rated higher than someone like Jordan. On another note...UGH! There is always 1 player that is either too dark or too light skinned. In this case, OT is way too light skinned. I hope he is at least swole and ripped. Same with Malone and the Admiral. Still extremely let down that they hardly did anything to Create A Player and everyone you create all looks like second cousins b/c it sucks so bad. That is the reason i am downloading this game and not paying for it. Plus mods for the PC version are awesome anyway!
this blows if they don't go to detail on the Rockets. On the first freaking trailer, they showed Bill Cartwright's crappy free throw shooting style. It doesn't take too much programming to make Kenny Smith's jumper have no arch.

I'm pretty sure everyone shoots with the same arch in the game. I don't think anyone has a arch specific shot. Plus, Cartwright's free throw stands out like Hayes free throw. They put that in there to show off their signature styles. But that dude is right, they don't have signature styles for all the current NBA players, so I'm not expecting them to go all out on detail for 30 more classic teams. Wish they did but seems like that's something for next generation of games. I'm just happy they added the bench instead of just starters like in 2k11
Which is exactly the reason why they worked on his shot more. Obviously they are going to pay attention to unique shots like Cartwright's. Calm down homer. Not to mention. He's on the Bulls. Greatest Team of All Time, etc. etc.
there's plenty of teams to debate . but if you are at least reading the cliff notes and anoint the Bulls.. at least pick the one that won 72 games. And guess what? Cartwright wasn't on that team.

I vote for either the 83 Sixers or the 86 Celtics. Didn't get to see teams pre 1980 so I can't comment on any of them.
Maybe they wanted some preteen girls to get 2k12. No idea why he's on there. The 80s Celtics, Lakers, 76ers, 90s Bulls. I guess you gotta give some love to Russell's Celtics.
Played the game like 8 hours yesterday against friends. Once I got Hakeem down I was unstoppable. His rating might be low, but he doesn't miss turnaround fades. Obviously the dream shake is money. Even busted a trey once he was rolling. Hard to score in the paint against him and thorpe as well. The rest of the team is garbage without him though. Cassel was too scared of Jordan to even hit an open jumper.
