At this point, anyway. Things will have to get much worse before the populace starts to gravitate. For now, keep people in sports, booze and tobacco and they're happy. It may be lauded in the future as an early, important protest.
It would help if we/they knew what they were actually protesting. Honest question: does anyone know what they are actually protesting? It has to be something concrete, not just the same old song and dance about corporate greed.
this is more a long the lines of what i'm talking about. It's seems to be against against corporate greed and corruption...ok, great, but what does that entail? It just comes across as a bunch of people aimlessly whining about "the man". I also don't think it helps when the majority of people you see are granola types so they are easy to brush of as "hippies" to the outside viewers. Not saying that's right, but that's the perception.
Yes, a police officer spraying pepper spray on a hippie is clearly the same thing as a governmental body rounding up and exterminating 6 million jews. This kind of nonsensical rhetoric is the reason no one is taking this "movement" seriously.
Except the cops. Wall street is actually occupied by the cops. In a Nazi state, cops are brainless tools. Cops have the absolute authority. Cops detain people who dare to talk back to them. Cops detain people using ropes and throw them on the ground. In this protest, I just saw that. As a governmental body, USA had just exterminated the lives of 100k Iraqis. And Nazi not done yet.

It's a shame that people use one bad argument in favor of a position to completely dismiss that position.
Good for them. They understand the problem, but not how to solve it. Welcome to the intellectual elite.
Wannabe a-holes: glorified assistants and data entry clerks who would be too busy or image-conscious to do this if they had any real influence or power.
Just the ground floor of a protest movement; get enough cash, lawyers and idealistic admen and event planners in the room they'll figure something out.
