Caspian Border gameplay. Here's the "real thing" for you Uprising. Honestly I am okay with Metro's infantry gameplay for some variety, and obviously to please the COD kids coming over. Speaking from the perspective of a person who has both BF3 and MW3 on pre-order, I think it has become painfully obvious at this point that all of the amazing gameplay footage and images we were being shown for the past several months were from the PC version of the game on max settings and not the console. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed by that. I'm not cancelling my order, but I'm certainly a little bummed by it. It almost hints at false advertising. I don't see how they plan on overthrowing COD by developing a game geared towards PC gamers.
Every game does this, has for years. I have been playing the XBox version and it is pretty danged sweet, some clipping, and not really much destructible terrain on this map, but still looks and plays great. DD
got my first destruction and blow torch kill today. probably my last for the torch because it was hard.
BattleField has always been geared towards PC gamers. And it's not their fault the Consoles can't run the game as it should be (64 players, high textures / AA / shadows etc.)
Was watching a guy from battlefield3community.com who was on the caspian map. The game has really grown on me. Loving it now. Whoever has it on PC: Add me in Battle LOG : Uprisingbc Wish I knew my origin account name would be my ingame name. Can't find anywhere to change it.
Okay, but I read something recently that said that PC sales accounted for less than 5% of Black Ops total sales numbers. Not sure how accurate that number is, you probably know better than I do. Now if this is true, that would indicate to me that if they are really trying to cut into that COD pie, perhaps they are going about this in the wrong manner by marketing a game based on the awesome things that it can do on the PC rather than what it actually does on the console. This is just my opinion as a consumer when I was expecting something other than what I'm actually getting. Maybe the game will still be awesome...just saying.
I understand. It has always been geared towards the PC. I get it. I'm saying that I was led to believe that the console port would be comparable graphically to the PC by things they had been putting out the past few months. I think that part is their fault when they knew all along that it wasn't actually possible. Still going to buy it. Hoping for the best.
IIRC, they toned down the graphics for the beta. I could be wrong though, so the end product should look better than what people are seeing right now.
Those recent gameplay videos posted are brutal to watch...Im much too impatient for the Battlefield games...Im not a fan of walking around for a few minutes before getting in on the action. Still going to buy, but still.
i heard it was toned down so it wasnt a huge download. It was 1.6 GB on the 360 just for one map and no vehicles.
Hey, I have the PS3 and I've never played the beta of a game before.. how do I get Battlefield 3 beta? Is it just downloadable in the Store? And do I have to pay?
