Buried, just because I'd rather not have my last few nightmares to be about an incinerator.

I guess I wouldn't care, since I'd be dead. So, whatever my family wanted I guess. If I were cremated, I'd be more mobile. Plus, I'm fair-skinned so I burn easily, which might make it more economical to cremate me.

then your last few nightmares, would be being buried alive six feet down under, where nobody can hear you?

Im going with cremated, its easier and I think its cheaper.
why buying a box, if you dont even going to enjoy it, its just going to be underground, wasting money and space, and its probable they wont see that box again.
I want people spreading my ashes in the toyota center, or wherever the rockets are playing at that time.

Donate as much of my organs/organic material as possible. The rest, flush or make a fun lamp out of.

I've told my family and friends that when I die to treat my body like a hot Honda at a chop shop. Take anything out that's useful. Whatever is left after that give to a med school and after that toss what's left into the ocean so it can become some tasty sea food. CIRCLE OF LIFE!

Actually it would be cool if my body ends up like this.

    First, sorry for your loss.

    In the unlikely event?

It seems like there is a consensus here for cremation where our own bodies are concerned. I wonder if the thread was about what to do with your spouse's remains, if the answers would be different.

I'd probably be more partial to burying my wife than cremating her. I have a grandfather buried in town and we visit once in 10 blue moons. And, ironically, 2 more grandparents buried in France that we visit more often (something we do whenever we visit family there). It's nice to have a tombstone to visit.

I would like to be cremated then mixed in with soil and put in a planter with a tree sapling. Then plant that tree somewhere beautiful or meaningful and have people visit the tree version of me ;)

What if the tree dies, naturally or cause of a fire or storm? :p

yeah no kidding...... although it would be neat to die twice. Cremate the tree and start it over again
