Breaking Bad has lots of loose ends that they don't follow up on. What about Marie and her whole shop lifting / weird real estate preoccupation? What about Hank and the mineral hobby? These things spanned episodes 1-4 and then just got dropped. I guess they were just filler material. Also, I think Tyrus is gonna be dead in the next two episodes.. so I don't think he's gonna replace Mike.
And how about the eye-ball they have shown from time to time, you know it will come into play at some point.
Doesn't make any sense. He had the perfect opportunity to let Gus die when he was poisoned and Mike was shot. Instead he decided to save them both.
actually, at that time he was still b/t a rock and a hard place - if he had let mike and gus die how would he have gotten back home? he was still very much in danger himself at that point.
My guess is Jesse probably feels apart of the Los Hermanos "family" now.. especially after Mike said "..either we all go home, or none of us do".
I think he can't decide who to side with, not because of Walt, but because he can't figure out how he feels about Gus' side yet. They take him in, + They send him to Mexico to what he thought was his death sentence, - He actually pulls through so maybe he thinks they really believed in him, + Mike's "all go home" line, + Nobody helping Mike at the makeshift hospital, - Seeing blood packets set aside for him, + Leaving Mike behind (though necessary), - If he finds out that Gus threatened Walt's baby, he probably turns on Gus.
did they try to pull one over on us by dubbing in mike's voice? <object width="640" height="360"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/p0ygSPO8aXk&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/p0ygSPO8aXk&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="360"></embed></object>
The mineral hobby, and being a general a-hole to Marie, was how Hank dealt with the situation of being an invalid and feeling basically useless. Falling back into shoplifting and making up fake personalities was how Marie dealt with the stress he was causing her. Once Hank got better and hot on the trail of Gus, his preoccupation with minerals went away, his disposition improved, and Marie wasn't as stressed.
Marie's fake interests in realty also led to her arrest, which led to the homicide investigator asking Hank to pay back the favor by looking into Gail's meth files. This made Hank interested in the Heisenburg trail again instead of moping around at home.
Sorry guys, I'm pretty late to the party but was looking for some help.. I just started watching and just got to season 2.. So is it just me and my bootleg dl's, or are there no subtitles during these long stretches of Spanish dialogue???
Didn't see the poison coming in to play like this, bad planning by Gus, I was a little surprised at how slow Jesse was to figure it all out. He's spent so much time with Walt, how would he not get what is going on. Seems all a little rushed in my opinion. Hopefully they make up for it with next weeks finale.
Spoiler There's every chance that the cigarette just got misplaced and the kid is sick from something else.
I'm getting tired of Gus' all-seeing, all-knowing ability. Yeah, he's probably going to stay until the end of the show, but he NEEDS to be outmanuevered at least once before then. It's just not plausible that he knows everything... like out of the blue he has a gut feeling that something is wrong with his car?? really? there was absolutely no reason for him to suspect anything. oh yeah, I definitely thought Skylar's face was going to be blown off by a sniper on that balcony.
Are we to believe that... Spoiler Walt was involved in poisoning Brock afterall? Doesn't seem right, but then what's the significance of the gun stopping where it does and the camera focusing on that plant?
I thought it foreshadowed Walt making bombs out of fertilizers. That's the idea I got when he spun the gun and it was aimed at the plant. Whether or not that's it, since we don't know what he used to make the IEDs in his kitchen, it could be your theory too since ricin is extracted from a plant.
