Maybe, I was thinking the same thing.

Yeah, I'm thinking a combination of cartel revenge to kill Gus and the DEA busting everybody during the war is the only way Walt can set up shop on his own without losing family members (it would make for a nice climactic ending to the season as well).

Either that or Jesse finally takes initiative and kills Gus himself since he's so close to him at this point.

I don't know, I think Gus makes a great badguy and I might like it if he was sent to prison and vowed revenge or something. There's so many directions they can take this story it's crazy.

This would be excellent as well.

    That's a good point, and one I hadn't considered.

The thought of Walt going Heisenberg on Gus is still near-unfathomable to me. I'm trying to picture a scenario in which Walt can somehow successfully neutralize Gus and Co. and I'm drawing a blank (unless he can somehow convince Jesse to somehow kill Gus, but that seems unlikely, although the poison cig is still in play).

A couple things that are still floating around are Mike being out of commission and Ted's death (although it seems like the show went out of its way to leave him being alive a possibility), but....ugh, I'm just going to stop thinking about it.

Sunday can't get here fast enough.

I think Walt has a few tools to use. Mike is a possible ally, and I still think Jesse will wind up helping Walt. That ricin cigarette and Walt's 38 snub had so much attention drawn to them. I feel like they almost have to come into play.

I'm also anticipating some sort of poison or chemical attack. We haven't seen Walt use his smarts to attack a problem scientifically in a while.

Mike will be with Gus until the end. I think probably Walt and Hector doing an alliance makes sense. I don't know how that would come about, but they both hate Gus. Hector could probably tell Walt some inside information that would give Walter the edge on Gus.

Given that the only way Hector communicates is by ringing a bell, I'm not sure that this could happen.

I think it's likely Jesse will kill Gus for the hit he ordered on his girlfriend's brother.

I'm trying to remember, does Gus know the kid was the brother of Jesse's girlfriend?

I don't think Gus ordered that hit. Those two gangster's were just taking care of it their way.

Also, I can't wait for Walt to go all out Heisenburg.

Yes, Gus should know the connection. They had that meeting in the desert where Jesse confronted Gus about using kids, and Gus should have done enough research to know that this chick's bro was one of his cronies. Which is a good point to bring up for me to segue into my thought:

Did anyone notice that they didn't show who the 3rd guy was in Walt's firing scene in the desert? Gus, the new enforcer, and some blurry guy in the background that was in the camera shot when Gus tells Walt to stay away from Jesse.

I'm pretty sure if that blurry guy was Jesse he would've had a problem with Gus killing an infant. I don't think he would've just stood there and swallowed the thought of Gus killing a whole family when he knew that they were Walt's only reason for doing all this.

Might be hard to explain why Walt's family would need protection, when the hit order would be only on Hank.

Nevermind that guy was just a 3rd random jabroney. They showed his face right before the tasering.

The first three seasons I always sided with Walt and thought Jesse was the ****up. Now it's all reversed and I'm sick of Walt. I've hated just about everything about his character this whole season and would like to see Gus, Jesse, and Mike off him. They can kill his fat wife as well.

So what's the timeline in since season 1? I think I remember Jr. saying it's been something like a year. I'm trying to think about how much money Walt's made, it was going to be something like 3M a year right? I know there was teh cancer fees and Hank's fees, along with the 600k for Ted, and he probably only has a couple 100k stashed. Not enough to have his vacuums cleaned which was estimated to be 500k. Maybe Walt has a sophie's choice coming up.

I felt that Walt has been too soft. Allowing his stankass wife back in his life. Heisenburg or not walt has no choice but fight back. I doubt he'll seek hanks help. Can't wait for chicken man to die or that smirky twat tyrell or Tyrone or whatever his damn name is. Ignorant post is ignorant.

from an interview with the creator, he said it has been a year, which is crazy to think about all that's happened.

He is making a ton now, but it took a long time for him to be making that. I'm a little rusty on the early money issues, but i recall them having money and then having to spend most of it at various points....and you can't forget Saul's cut

They had a boatload of expenses: Walt's medical bills, Hank's medical bills, Walt's townhouse, the car wash, new cars, property damage, and money to deal old Ted.

It's interesting to look back at previous seasons. In season 1, Walk talked about needing $750,000 to set his family up for life. He's made that several times over, but he has nothing to show for it because he got caught up in the Heisenburg lifestyle.

I also find it fascinating that Gus was ready to kill Jesse episode 12 last season but only held off due to his respect for Walt. 12 episodes later, Gus wants to kill Walt but holds off because Jesse won't cook if he offs Walt.

I'm not sure if Gus knew it was Jesse's girlfriend's brother, but I'm betting he ordered the hit. He certainly is capable of killing children. If Jesse find that out, he would certainly gun for Gus. I wonder if Walt will somehow get word to him about that, or maybe Mike is on the outs and does this as an act of revenge towards Gus.

Breaking Bad rarely hints at things and not follow up on that later. They kind of embody the Chekhov's gun principle: don't introduce props or concepts unless you intend to use them later. When the doctors said Mike could go **** himself because Gus pays the bills, Jesse looked pissed. As he was when Mike got left behind. I just have a feeling that Gus might promote Tyrus and abandon Mike as over the hill. I'd love to see Mike as a loose cannon.

remember when gus asked walt "do you think i would kill children"? we now know the answer is "yes".

jesse always has had a soft spot for the childrens - maybe he finds out that gus threatened walts children. maybe he figures out that gus ordered his girls little brother killed.

maybe jesse is playing everyone, including walt, in order to get as close to gus as possible before killing him.

he still has the poison cig.

Sunday's episode was amazing and I would've have loved that last scene to be the end of the season finale. Aside from the writing and acting, the camera work and directing is really amazing - the final scene was just done so well. It'll be tough to have a bigger season finale cliff hanger than last night.

They red herring the crap out of us too. I can still remember the dissatisfaction from all that foreshadowing with the bear in season 2.
