I'm actually fine with this. Jets were OP in BF2, and in the end balance and fun > than realism. Battlefield needs to be built on a rock paper scissor formula, with a counter for everything. Tanks natural enemy is helicopters. Helicopters natural enemy is jets. Jets used to be at the top of the food chain, especially with underpowered AA, and raped everything including infantry. But now, they will be used more as a counter for air and armor, leaving infantry alone.

lol probably because COD was so much more popular there was no need to take shots but this game looks absolutely sick. The trailer looks like it's for MW3.
Got the Beta downloaded, installing new nvidia drivers made for BF3. :grin: If you are playing it on PC. If you get a DirectX error when trying to install the game, go to the game directory and manually install directx. Seems to be a common problem right now for people. Fun, waiting for the larger maps though. That's when the real fun begins with vehicles. Till then, it's just a glorified MW.
The Battle log blows. Makes it feel like a play for free game. Game is fun. But Metro is meh in the beta, it's like COD. Lame infantry only. Can't wait to play the real thing.
Most console gamers think it is amazing, while the PC Battlefield veterans are up in arms. Understandable. The hardcore fanboys will buy the game no matter what map or mode they show, so with Metro they targeted the skeptical and undecided COD crowd. That being said, there has been leaks of Caspian Border gameplay, people stole the password and got onto the servers, and sure enough it looks like the "real thing".

Better than fine. In the end I will still be getting it for both though.
I'm not in the "BF PC" crowd. I'm not in the BF crowd at all. I've also seen the videos. If you compare the Xbox360 footage with the PS3 / PC footage it looks like garbage. I was curious about the game and I'll try out the beta, but it looks like a definite pass for me.
