Gotta admit, last year when we were 4-2 I thought it was fool's gold. This year feels different. I think we have a strong chance if Kubiak doesn't manage to "Kubiak" the season away...yet again.
gotta love the nfl. Your home team wins the game and you're unbeeetable. Your team loses and suddenly they can't compete with the likes of Seattle. Just listening to radio from philly and they're basically calling reid a pathetic excuse for a head coach.
I really like Schaub but I think he just doesn't handle pressure well. And by pressure, I don't mean intense game situations, but rather just a strong pass rush. He rushes throws. But more than that, if anyone gets close to a sack, he just curls into ball and lets them have it. Just once, I'd like to see him secure the ball and try to break free to get another chance to look downfield.
wow seeing ben roth. run is making me kinda jealous as a texans fan. wish schaub can be a little mobile.
Yet Big Ben was sacked the most in the NFL last season and was obliterated by the Colts tonight. Schaub was basically the opposite in this regard.
But who does? many of the elite make the same mistakes under defense that put heavy pressure, like the jets against the patriots last season. What I've always had problem with is the Offense never being able to pick up a blitz when it's coming from the defensive back. Both corner and safety blitzes are kryptonite to this offense. Those that have played O line, how do you block this innovative concept? Because the Texans have yet to figure it out, and I'm curious to know too.
Rothlesberger is a really big guy... and harder to bring down.... but I wouldn't say his running ability wins games for the Steelers. I would also say that I bet the Steelers hope that Ben's running doesn't have to in them any games either.
I just don't want Kareem Jackson starting ever again! Everytime I see his face, it pisses me off. Where the heck was Brandon Harris?
Ben holds the ball too long sometimes, and that is a bad thing, and can be a good thing. Ben extends plays, Matt generally does not. DD
Ah man. I wanted to help find it for you. Any dogs I see around the Kirby area, i'm going to hit hoping it's your dog. Then, I want to see you make a thread, and act like a little b**** about it.
I can say with a straight face that Matt is a better QB than Ben these last 2 years. My top 10 at the moment. 1. Brady 2. Manning (when healthy) 3. Rodgers 4. Brees 5. Rivers 6. Stafford 7. Vick 8. Schaub 9. Big Ben 10. Ryan
Pretty sure it would be the back's responsibility, in most cases. It seems to be something Tate needs to work on. In fact, the all around pass game is something that struggles without Foster. He adds a whole different dimension to it. Think about how many screens we ran last year versus so far this year. Actually, Tate seems to have an adverse reaction when a screen pass comes his way. I truly think Foster is underestimated in this offense, and because of that, I'm kind of shocked at how well our offense stepped up.
Yes. Our defense has improved, but, as with last year, we expect to win games with an abundance of field goals. That'll work against the middle-tier and lower-tier teams, but not against the upper-tier teams. I also saw our defense give up a lot of 8-yard passes just like last year. And the fact that they score two 2-point conversions against us using the same play is embarrassing. We're at the same pace as last year. I hope we do better than last year, but I still don't see us beating the top teams in the league. And with our difficult schedule, It'll be a difficult challenge to make the playoffs. Kubiak is a mediocre coach. I'm waiting to be proven wrong. I'm hoping to be proven wrong.
Quit hating on Schaub. He definitely is a great QB, not elite, but great. They're only 3 or 4 elite QB's in the league. Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Brees.
