Foster led the NFL in touchdowns last year. The red zone is where he is missed the most. Failure in the red zone was a characteristic of the Texans in 2009 and once again without Foster it's rearing its ugly head early this season. We'll get better this year when we get Foster back at 100%. Today we almost beat one of the the NFC's beast teams on the road without our biggest touchdown threat...we'll be alight.
The sad thing about Kareem is that he was essentially demoted in the 4th and was still getting torched. When we play nickel, Troy Nolan comes in to play FS, Glover moves to play CB2 and Kareem shifts over to cover the slot receiver. It didn't matter. They threw at him on the sides and they threw at him in the slot. Kareem is just a really bad corner.
^^^Kareem Jackson is not an NFL player, I know the Texans have other problem areas, but they need to realize keeping him on the field is a major liability. I don't recall ever thinking just 1 single football player could hurt his team so much
Jason Allen is worse to me. Maybe I'm just seeing things. Btw, this division just got much easier. Tennessee basically lost their AJ in Britt. I wouldn't be surprised to see us go 6-0 in the division.
i think this bothers me more than the loss. 90% of us,after Arian ran for a good chunk of yardage, against the saints in preseason, jokingly said we've seen enough of him for the day. But noooo, he had to play in the San fran game.
Seriously? Man if you told me last year that we were gonna draft a CB in the 2nd round of the draft and he wasn't gonna see any playing time ahead of KaReamed Jackson, I would not have believed it. Get this man some playing time Kubiak!
So most can agree the Texans dont have a secondary outside of Joseph, Manning and maybe Quin? Good to know! Ha but no, I always thought we needed another corner besides Joseph. I know others felt(still feel?) the same. Joseph was nice but still needed at least one more. Instead, we were "going with what we got. I believe in those kids because they're good kids who battlefight." Jackson, McCain, McManis, Allen aren't starting corners/#2 corners, maybe 3 at best(and that might be generous). Carmichael and Harris? I dont know.
You know, I agree with you and personally think they should bring in six corners to workout on Tuesday if nothing else to scare some sense into those guys but how many teams will we play with that kind of combo of QB and receivers? Atlanta is the only one I can think and they aren't setting the world on fire with White, Jones and Ryan. At this point, Kubiak is insane for starting and playing KJax, not sure if he is a bust or not but he needs to sit. I think we will be fine with this defense, for this season, and maybe in the playoffs until we play teams like NE and SD.
It's hilarious how so many NFL coaches are posting as Clutchfans. Dudes, it's one of the top three maybe four teams in the NFL. We lost to a great team and we won't lose to another great team like that. Settle down. There are 13 more games. OoOOoOoo... nice one... can I use this one for DaDakota? Please?
Tie game!! Ha, Roethlisberger got Cutler-ed on that one. This Steelers O-Line looks porous right now. I hope Watt, Mario, and Antonio wreak some havoc next week.
If I may interject here: EVERYONE has conveniently chose to overlook that the Saints are very familiar with Wade's defense and its weaknesses. So it should have come as NO surprise that once they pulled their collective heads out of their collective behinds, they would adjust and begin exploiting the holes in said defense. This will be an ongoing problem for this season because Wade still doesn't have the right personnel to fully execute his system. The next two games will tell us a lot about this team's true ability to win the tough game.
