Wouldn't it be better to just play a traffic cone or even a 2nd string wr/LB/**** maybe 2nd string d-lineman instead of Kareem? I figure one would at least get play from those options that's no worse than what Kareem provides.

    No mas to Kareem Jackson!!!

Pick on Kareem all you want but Joseph got beat too.

It comes down to pressure or lack thereof.

Joseph did not have a particularly good game, those 2 point conversions in particular were 100% his fault

But Jackson was absolutely pathetic on every damn play. The guy cannot cover a tree stump. He has no recovery speed, no coverage skills, and appears to be straight up stupid

What game were you watching? Joseph was FAR more effective, only giving up a couple of plays, and contributing some of his own.

Kareem was literally worthless out there. And when he DID contribute, he'd draw a penalty.

The pressure wasn't the problem the majority of the time, Brees got rid of the ball almost instantly in the 2nd half because Kareem was 10 yards away from his man... every... single... play.

With Kareem's performance, and the D overall, I thought I was watching last season's squad.

This is something I would really consider if I were Phillips. There is no excuse for the play of Kareem. There was alot of factors that decided the loss. But once Brees started to target him. The game completely opened up.

It's frustrating to watch Kareem. I want the guy to succeed and I liked what he brought to the table last week, but this is the Kareem we see FAR FAR FAR too often. Might be time to draft another CB next year or sign a good one in free agency.

This is what was the problem last season. Pressure doesn't matter if Jackson is beat at the line of scrimmage

Until Kubiak is replaced, nothing else matters.

I certainly don't think he was the only problem, but I think the Kareem Jackson experiment should end. Replace him, let him work on his game or let him go. He just can't cover effectively at the NFL level. I agree that Phillips has to take a hard look at the pass rush, wasn't very effective today. I still don't think Mario is in the right place. The elite qb's will eat you up if you give them the kind of time Brees had today.

Kareem should be a designated blitzer... We should design a "Wilcat" defensive package where he should just blitz him... either he drops back to swap with Quinn before the snap or just blitz blitz blitz.... If we're gonna keep playin then use him to confuse the defense instead of him confusing everyone in the Houston area....

Im honestly wondering how Kareem ever played collegently at such a big time program like Bama. He makes Matt Stephens look like Nnamdi

eh at this point, he should be the designated bench warmer until he shows that he actually has some kind of coverage skills.
