I don't like it, having two separate football forums is kind of eh, and why is Dynamo lumped with the Texans? Makes no sense.

The Texans will have their own forum, probably later today. I'm getting everything to the Astros forum first.

The Dynamo, along with all soccer/futbol, will move to "Other Sports" when that is live. If 3-5 hardcore Dynamo fans want to run and moderate a Dynamo forum, I'm open to ideas. But my core interests are the Big Three in pro.

My suggestion is have three forums.

    Texans and football
    Astros and baseball
    Other sports

Maybe there can be a subforum within the texans forum that directs to a other football talk if you want separation of texans and other stuff. However I think if we had two football forums on the front page here it'd be like the Rockets pretty much with GARM and nba dish, and rockets/basketball should get the main attention in terms of forums.

I don't want to speak for Clutch but I think that is kinda the point. Not to make this less of a Rockets site, but maybe increase the Astros/Texans aspects of the site.

I think it's OK for soccer (which is pretty much the only "other sport" discussed with any volume on this BBS) to remain in the same forum as NFL football. So far there seems to be more than enough space to accommodate both sports in one forum, and most soccer discussion is concentrated in three or four threads, and even NFL discussion isn't that heavy either especially since there is a separate fantasy forum.

I say just maintain a generic "football" forum and let it be that way until there are enough soccer threads to warrant them having a new "other" forum.

There are too many forums now, I think one of the football forums should be a subforum in the other so there is one less forum on the main page.

One of the things that was cool about clutchfans was the simplicity.

    Happy man today...Thanks Clutch.

Stros may suck now but that won't stay the same forever and with a little luck, that time may come sooner then later.

I'm one of the very few who really enjoyed going to one place for my Texans/Astros fix. I'm going to miss that, but I understand why the change needed to be made.

Thanks for this place. A great "escape" to discuss Houston sports.

Posting this for clarification. I misspoke earlier. This will be Astros only, Other baseball talk will go in Other Sports for now. When Clutch was deciding how to separate teh forums we talked back and forth about this being baseball or just Astros. He decided just Astros and I did not remember what he had said when I made the initial post in this thread.

We have no stars for Clutch to put in the description for this forum like he did the Texans. :(

    one suggestion:

can we call this the Astros/MLB thread?

it makes sense to me to have all MLB related threads in the same forum. i feel like the baseball playoff threads are completely lost in the "other sports" forum when we're alreading talking MLB here.
