Seriously, this javol_lon character is poisoning this thread with his nonsense.

Battier is the perfect role model in the modern NBA.

But he's a one trick pony in the NBA community.

As a player? If the league had all Battiers in it, it would be worse than the Russian Basketball Association.

    This is a weird thread.

I'd just like to re-visit the use of the word "ether'd" as well. Well done.

If we want to get into a totally separate discussion, even brainless thugs can make humanitarian contributions. They imply generosity but are not indicative of all-around character.

J.Cole is the Derrick Rose of hip hop. Shane Battier is a role playa.

Went to his concert in LA last night; it was banging. Kendrick Lamar came out for a spot of his "High Power."

J Cole is the man. Hopefully dude does well sales-wise

Very jealous man. I'm sure he'll do well sales wise but that album is seriously underwhelming after all we've heard from his mixtapes.

Jay-Z and Mark Pitts (Bystorm CEO) put their fingerprints on this album. That's why it's more mainstream than his mixtapes.

I thought his album is dope as hell. The flow, lyrics, delivery are all on point. You gotta understand that he has to cater to the mainstream a "lil bit" in order to sell.

His mixtapes have already gotten a chokehold of a particular group of fans, now he's trying to reach to a wider audience. I hope it does.

Man, Mr. Nice Watch BANGS in the whip.

Man, the new wave of wannabe's don't hold a candle to the real hip-hop, before everybody thought money and prestige was everything, when it was about society and real life.

I miss the golden age days of Public Enemy, Run DMC and A Tribe Called Quest. Every new generation, especially starting in the late 90's to now has gotten steadily worse. Listening to this wannabe reminds me how much worse hip-hop has gotten and why yes, I don't listen much to hip hop anymore.

I guess kids nowadays will listen to anything. Real men who were there alive when it originated know better.

There are a lotta artists I don't like but J. Cole is awesome. And I do listen to some old school hip hop.
