Carl, you could have put up a link. I had no clue what you were talking about at first. Anyways, here: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Xwoh6g05hj4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Man, you people are giving me great fodder to turn my otherwise solid R-voting family into people who actually stop and think about who they're voting for.
I find it particularly disgraceful as these same folks tended to defend Abu Gharaib, "collateral murder", and the Ishaqi incident etc...
shame on them for booing shame on the candidates for not saying anything about it (if they didn't, I wasn't watching) shame on you for guilt by association
So far we have... 1) Cheering the death penalty 2) Booing gay soldiers 3) Cheering the suffering of the uninsured
These are the candidates. These are the people being voted for and placed into a position to run the country. You are guilty by association. If you don't agree and find it shameful, don't associate. It's not hard. EDIT: Well maybe not you personally, I don't know the details of your politics. The point is that those who stand by silently and vote for the candidate are de facto supporters of this tripe. Period.
This has got to be one of the only industrialized nations in the world where this kind of thing could happen.
so, the truth is one or two people booed, and were immediately shssshhhhed and shouted down by the rest of the crowd. the boor's behavior was disgraceful, but hardly indicative of the thoughts of the rest of "us people." bring better outrage.
The booing isn't a big deal. It was a couple of idiots out of hundred/thousands. The cheering I found much more disturbing. Rick Santorum is wrong that sex has no place in the military. We'd castrate everyone if it didn't. I'm confused as to how repealing DADT could have been considered a privilege for anyone. The rule should have never existed, because the military shouldn't give a damn what you are doing, as long as you are doing it on your own time.
BS And what made it worse is not one candidate on that stage rebuked the audience for the reaction. You people are sick
i found Santorum consistently interesting on almost every point, except this. if he'd get off the ghey, i think his overall prospects would improve immensely. he's sharp, prepared, an excellent debater. the ghey stuff let's others peg him as "scary" which distracts from the rest of his positions. overall, i thought he had the best night. Romney was also very good, and Cain improved. Perry was, at best, middle of the pack, and got worse as the night went on.
