He can't "implode" quick enough for me. Look what he's done to Texas, yet here he is, governor for over a decade. And look at the last midterm elections. Don't underestimate the American people's ability to not bother to vote, not bother to look deeply into the background of the candidates, or to look deeply into the issues facing this country, and how they came into being. Don't "wish" Perry as an opponent for Obama because you think he'd be road kill. People have made that mistake before.
from ThinkProgress -- Longshot presidential hopeful former Gov. Gary Johnson (R-NM) got the biggest laugh line of last night’s debate but may have stolen his material from Rush Limbaugh. Johnson’s joke about a neighbor’s dog creating more “shovel-ready” jobs than Obama echoed an almost identical quip the radio host made earlier that day. Johnson acknowledged the overlap, tweeting, “Credit to Rush for a great and very true line.”
Don't like Perry personally since he just kind of rubs me the wrong way. He just looks a bit arrogant and scummy but I'd still happily trade you our Governor Brown for your Governor Perry.
Perry getting slammed by conservative press this morning some headlines: Byron York: Republicans 'Reassessing' Perry Rove: Perry Had A 'So-So' Performance Kristol Slams Perry's Debate As "Close To Disqualifying" Erickson: Perry A 'Train Wreck' Malkin Slams Perry Lowry: Perry The Loser In Debate Dana Perino Not Sure She's Ready To Take The Next Step With Perry
Not really. It's an old joke that was re-hashed, Google it. They both copied it from some other people.
I know it has not been done in awhile, but if I am the Democrats I ask Biden to "refuse the Vice President nomination for the next term due to personal reasons" and replace him with someone else.
WOW! The right is just murdering Perry this morning. conservative radio talk show host Michael Graham
I've been telling people the same thing. It's the easiest way to give Obama a jolt. Add someone like Hillary to the ticket and he instantly surges. By no means will that decide an election but its a good boost.
pay attention to what you were watching last night, if you didn't even watch it, don't comment. Don't make a statement that shows people you lack in the intelligence department.
Bachmann, you didn't answer the question last debate, what's the dollar amount on how much you earn should you keep? Bachmann "They earned that money and should keep every bit of it".......so no one should pay taxes? No one? Bachmann "of course you have to give some back so we can run government, but that's YOUR money!" This stupid **** was asked specifically for a number, and she couldn't do something so simple by 4 year old nephew could. I am so glad she gets hardly a mention anymore, I can thank Perry for that. There we go, right thread.

I have seen several posts where people say they hope Perry faces Obama in the election because they figure it will be easy for Obama to beat Perry. I think those people are ignoring that Obama has some real weakness and that something going wrong politically or economically next September/October could easily result in the republican winning. As someone who quite often votes republican I would not want to see Perry as president. We should hope that both parties nominate the best they have for president. Unfortunately, neither party will be doing that in 2012. Of course, that has probably rarely happened.
I do not think the pharase "third worse" means what Michael Graham thinks it means. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/G2y8Sx4B2Sk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
After reading several articles describing Perry's debate performance, I now understand some of the earlier comments. We now move on to the next stage in his campaign. Perry stormed into the lead based on a brief honeymoon period. The honeymoon ended, arrows & darts were launched at him and he's had some inevitable gaffes. The next step is how he responds to this adversity. We will know over the next month or two if Perry is worthy of being a serious GOP contender. At some point in the (possibly near) future, journalists and opponents will dig up mounds of dirt on the guy and soil him. He's needs to stop the current bleeding before that happens or else.
Rumor is Chris Christie will announce today he's not running. It's the right decision. I'm ready for the GOP contest to become a two-man race. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/04/chris-christie-2012-decis_n_993990.html
