I would at least have him making jerseys in that basement. Might be the most production we get out of him.
Thabeet seems like the type of player that warms up the more he plays. Having him start a few games doesn't automatically mean we lose those games. The other four starters are there and we still have Chuck to come and play starters minutes if need be. Ten games along with ten practices with the starting squad would give him an idea of where to be and get his timing down. I think he would be able to avg 4pts, 4rbds and a blk within that time.
I totally agree. I'd love to see him on the floor for 10-15 minutes. Force feed him minutes and if he doesn't produce over the span of two weeks, stop it.
Even when he takes pictures he seems disinterested. God I want this guy off our roster and quick! He can take "T-Will" with him too.
You know the offseason is rough when even my ideas are inspiring. This is his contract year and the guy is IDEAL for what we need. He needs CONSISTENT minutes to prove himself legit or a bust. Your other alternative is to keep throwing Hayes out there and achieving the essence of mediocrity i.e. best team not to make the playoffs for two years in a row. But hey Chuck has earned it and who cares that we're in the purgatory of not making the playoffs and getting the worst lotto pick.... If he sucks he sucks so be it at least we will know and sorry guys it's not like the Rockets are making a championship run this year so let's shake it up a bit.
He'd play 6 minutes, provide nothing, maybe 1 block at best and then the Rockets would be in the penalty. He just isn't an NBA caliber player.
We're not winning the championship with the roster as is. So, we could play the young guys and see if any of them turn out good. And if it plays out like we think, we end up with a top pick in the loaded 2012 draft.
This is a good argument and what is to be expected. But in a ten game(ten practice) scenario, i figure, with the experience that he already has, he would start to show slight improvement by the 6th-7th game.
Practice is no substitute for game play, and in the regular season there is barely any practice at all. Play him, and see what you have. DD
how about they force feed him some practice instead. when did the allen iverson's take over this league? i'm talking about practice ?!?!?!?!?
I trust McHale. If he sees any promise in him, I think Thabeet may see the floor quite a bit. If not, he'll see the end of the bench.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...eem-thabeet-breakout-in-a-post-lockout-season I believe in Hasheem! At least he is 7,3. We could use that height.
It willn't hurt. Best shot-blocker and rebounder on team. Hasn't been givin opportunity. Don't name someone a bust who has never played.
