How is Tmac's season when he scored 32 points/game better than Kobe's season when he scored 35 points a game? How is Tmac's season when he didn't led his team to a playoff victory, better than Kobe's season where he was named the MVP?
Because scoring isn't everything, because he played on a terrible team, and MVP is a farce award that just goes to the best story of the year.
Again, I laugh at you putting any stock in MVP. According to tinman logic, Kevin Durant is better than Lebron because he scores more, Derrick Rose is better than Lebron because he won MVP, Zach Randolph is better than Blake Griffin because he led a play-off series.
And don't call yourself a Rockets fan because you think that an MVP award is what makes players great. Hakeem succeeded without a superficial award. David Robinson is evidence enough.
Hakeem was so proud of his MVP. you obviously don't remember that Hakeem in 95 was plagued with injuries, therefore he wasn't going to win the MVP.
T-Mac season was way better because of 32.1 points + 6.5 rebounds + 5.5 assists + 1.6 steals + 0.8 blocks + just 2.6 turnovers on 45.7-38.6-79.3 on 24.2 FGA is way better than 35.4 points + 5.3 rebounds + 4.5 assists + 1.8 steals + 0.4 blocks + 3.1 turnovers on 45 - 34.8 - 85 on 27.2 FGA Kobe had + 3PPG but he had also + 3 FGA and he wasn't even on the same page in terms of efficiency Kobe stats are selfish, T-Mac stats are efficient. Actually it was one of the best season ever for SG not named Michael Jordan in terms of efficiency
Championships are all the matter. They are the be all, end all. MVP awards are completely superficial and just show that you are the most popular player in the league. Nothing else.

Hakeem wasn't the most popular player in the league. He didn't sell a bunch of jerseys in 94. they didn't even show many Rockets games in 94.
And you forgot to mention TMac played in east. Once he moved to west, he could never scratch 26 again, and his efficiency went to the toilet too.
The Rockets had the best record in the nba, we started the season 15-0 and had one of the best records in the league. Good enough to get home court even in the Finals. Get your freaking obsession of me out of this, you weren't old enough to remember this much detail from 94. The journalists? Sports Illustrated refused to give the Rockets a cover, but had one for the Knicks in game 7. People in Houston immediately started canceling their subscriptions. Please dude. don't even try me on the 90s.
I'm not allowed to be a Rockets fan because I don't put any stock in MVP awards? Is this guy seriously this stupid?
Okay I don't even have to say anything else. If I made a thread about how whether you twist people's words, almost 99% of clutchfans will vote yes? Evidence? Right here, the argument is that McGrady's second best player is Pat Garrity and you spun that to Hakeem and Jordan has played with players as bad as Pat Garrity. Seriously, can you please stop trashing Rocket legends and segregating Rocket fans because you have some sick fetish towards a player? Everyone here (besides goodbug) is a Rocket fan, and what do you do? You join forces with a Laker fan so you can promote Kobe's legacy whiles trashing our own legend's greatness. Absolutely disgusting, I'm disappointed in you.
There are legit opinions, then there are ****ty ones.... Honestly, what's there to argue. Perhaps during one season Tmac was a little tiny minisculely somewhat better than Kobe....maybe. Fact is legacies are what matters, and God's truth is that if Tmac had Kobe's selfish greed for greatness and willingness to do what ever it takes to win...then he'd have at least a much better legacy than the one he has now, which is by no means bad. When you're born with so much talent, you rarely have the same amount of heart. /thread B*tches
