He's saying that cause he's from North Carolina/Tar-heel fan and Shane is one of the most recognizable Duke players. Just letting the people that don't know who J Cole is. Want so bad to listen to it but will wait till the 27 to cop the album.

yeah because dissing the no stats all star is really gonna bring him publicity. if he really wanted attention he would call out LeBron or Kobe, not Shane Battier of all people.

Who's your favorite artist? Drake? Lil Wayne? Hahahaha.
Don't talk if you have no idea what you're talking about. J-Cole is not a wannabe.

First J Cole song I have heard and it ****ing sucks.

What the **** is up with rappers singing on their hooks? Damn Ja Rule and 50 Cent! They got everyone thinking singing on a rap song is cool. Get a soulful voice to do the chorus.

Kendrick Lamar is definitely in the upper echelon of my top 5 right now. Ronald Regan Era is an all time great.

    1. Rap is praised for its ability to be poetic despite obvious shortcomings in musical construction; yet this has worthless lyrics, worthless topic, nothing poetic or thoughtful. As with most of this kind of "look at me, I'm so bad" rap, most people on these boards could write an equally worthy "song".
    2. Horrible reference, aren't there several lamer folks than Shane Battier in a world of 6 billion people?
    3. No one is going to base their idea of Battier on what a knucklehead says
    4. Someone felt the need to start a thread about this, in spite of #1-3
    5. I am possibly missing a ton of sarcasm here, making me an idiot, but I'm willing to live with that.

cats rhyming in the hangout thread have better lyrics than this fool.
Shane just drew an offensive foul on him.

I miss Pac, Biggie and the ghettoboys.
