Actually I am Baptist, grew up in the church, and know several people who went there.

Baylor is great, you guys are kinda crazy though. Willing to debate on the internet for hours but unable to buy tickets. SMH

The Big12 should jump at this in my opinion. They have a 2nd chance here. I would do what MadMax says and go as far as include those 14 teams with TCU and Cincy. It's madness to think about TCU not being in the Big12.

I might go as far as to look at 16 teams and add Air Force in the West and South Florida in the East.

The Big East would be buried with the loss of Lousiville, Cincy, WV, S Florida.

So it could look like this....

    Big12 => Big16

West: Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor, BYU, TCU, Air Force

East: Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, West Virginia, Louisville, Cincinnati, South Florida

Dodds hints that UT-A&M football rivalry may end

Texas athletic director DeLoss Dodds doesn’t have much hope for continuing his school’s historic rivalry with Texas A&M.

Dodds said it would be difficult to extend the series if Texas A&M follows through with its threat to move to the Southeastern Conference.

“I think it will be hard to schedule that game,” Dodds said.

The Longhorns hold a 75-37-5 edge in the series, which has been played every year since 1915.

I was actually referring to how Baylor's threat of litigation has temporarily haulted SEC's formal acceptance of A&M. Had Baylor waived the right, I suspect that SEC would have invited and accepted both A&M and Mizzou by now, which basically would've ended the Big 12.

TCU would take recruits. RT @marshh5532: @richardjustice Why does DeLoss Dodd hate TCU so much while OU is so pro TCU joining the Big XII?

Ummm, no it wouldn't - what a ridiculous and stupid lie. SEC schools already play a big OOC rivalry game at the end of the year, so it would be easy on A&M's end. And Texas can do whatever it wants in the Big12, so that wouldn't be an issue. Texas managed to play an OOC game against OU every year for decades. They could just as easily do the same against A&M.

The only reason it wouldn't be played is if Texas doesn't want it to be played.

Who knows what Mack Brown would do in that role. Almost too scared to want to find out to be honest.

Sometimes a break is good for everyone to realize what a good thing they have....

A UT vs A&M break might knock some sense into both schools.

Sounds to me like it would only create more resentment and ill-will.

A&M would play UT on the moon on Christmas friggin' Day.

If UT decides it's "too hard" to schedule, A&M would be rightly miffed.

They are both being petulant children.......they will miss the rivalry, but if OU vs Nebraska can end, so can UT vs A&M.

I'd say the moon is more likely.

(on a serious note, don't the stipulations of LHN basically make that arrangement impossible?)

It'll be a shame if the UT-A&M yearly matchup ends. Not sure what A&M would be miffed about considering they bolted the conference to join the SEC. The most tradition-loving school in the country obviously didn't make that move to preserve the UT-A&M rivalry.

Why? It was A&M decision to leave the conference. As a Texas grad, I would miss the game a little bit, but not like I would miss the OU game. The game was always more important to Aggies than it was for Texas.

Yep, it would definitely be considered a Tier 1 game.
