Has anyone here ever eaten there? A couple of workers of mine say it's the best pizza buffet in town but never been.
there used to be one on Memorial Drive near Dairy Ashford. i loved it, but there's not a Pizza Inn remotely close to me anymore.
Pizza Inn has good pizza, but I too am surprised to hear that they still exist. There used to be one here in Missouri City like 10 years ago.
I was a pizza cook at a Pizza Inn in Deer Park for a year or so when I was in high school. About 15 years ago. The pizza was okay, I guess.
Took the words out of my mouth... I don't remember what their pizza tasted like either. Haven't gotten pizza much lately, but Brothers Pizza is probably my favorite in the north part of town. I love NY Style pizza (and experienced real Chicago style for this first time this summer at Giordano's... that was phenomenal).
I was like 9 years old the last time I had Pizza Inn. I've seen one somewhere here in Houston though... Maybe off 610 near 1-10 heading towards the Galleria? I could be wrong... Moontower Inn is better
Hmm looks damn good, and this part was interesting, guessing it's kind of like omaha steaks with the delivery. Edit: lol, estimated shipping $48....say what?!
I loved their thin crust pizza when I was a kid. There was one on 1960 and Red Oak that we used to beg our parents to take us too. When they shut that store down, I didn't have Pizza Inn again for years. I think they were in trouble at a national level and shut down a ton of stores. They might even have left the Houston market. About ten years ago they opened one around Gunspoint, and my sister insisted we try it out. It was still pretty tasty. Not the best in the world, but pretty good for a buffet. Certainly in another class from Ci Ci's. *shudder* I haven't had it in a while, though. They might have slipped quite a bit, and you never know from store to store. Their ingredients are all the same, but some workers do a piss poor job at making pies.
I've only been to one once. They opened one in the town I went to college during my last semester, and it you actually had to pass two other cheaper pizza buffets to get there. The pizza is okay. SteviB's > Pizza Inn >>>>> CiCi's The first time I went to CiCis it wasn't bad. I've been 3 times since, to 3 different locations, and it has been horrible every time.
Tony's Pizza near Champion Forest (tiny little joint near the entrance to Champion Forest) has surprisingly good pizza. I think it is every bit as good as Brothers (and I'm a fan of Brothers). The Woodlands opened up a Grimaldi's. It is kind of expensive, but excellent. I believe the shipped in a charcoal oven for the place. They are pretty famous for being under the Brooklyn Bridge for 100 years in NY. http://www.grimaldis.com/
Woodfire Pizza on Louetta/Champions Forest (or around there) is very good too, IMO. I think its the best pizza in that area.
Decided to go ahead and have lunch there and the pizza was good. Way better than that cicis crap. The only negative was that it got real packed. You may have to sit next to very large strangers who chew with their mouth open.
