I think Blount will be getting more usage. Maybe the reason they're down early is because they don't give it to him enough. 4 attempts in the 1st, 1 in the 2nd, and they're down 17 in the half. 7 carries in the 3rd, boom 60 yards and a td. 4th quarter, 2 carries, 12yds and another score.
Exactly, it's not like they were down 20+ in the first quarter to the Lions to only give him 5 carries in week 1 either.
For whatever reason Blount is the new 'it' back. I just don't see it. I think that Fred Jackson and Blount, Bennie and Blount are equals. Blount is a good back, but don't elevate him to what he isn't. Jennings is an elite WR. I doubt if he will go 1 game without scoring at least 1 td. He is the most consistent player in the league, and other than maybe Fitz, Johnson and Johnson, he is like a top 4 receiver. Take Jennings and laugh at the poor sap that gets blount.
Depends on what your needs are. Do you have two must-start RBs and are you in need of help at WR? Then do it. I wouldn't do it if I only had one other top level RB on my roster to depend on. Moreno is trash. I like Jennings. Floyd too, but he can't stay healthy.
Yes. Benson, Wells and Williams. (I'm not sure if Moore is a ST returner in OAK -- if so, I might consider him over Williams).
It's looking like my Cam Newton pickup was a complete steal. Can't wait till he plays the Jags crappy defense.
The problem with Blount is that he is not a receiving back. I would put him below Jackson in value simply because of that. Last season through 13 games he had 5 catches and one of those was fumbled away. Through 16 games Jackson had 31 catches and 2 TDs. Here's another interesting fact. The Buccaneers have trailed late in both games they have played this season and although Blount saw some running during this last game, he has been targeted 0 times through those 2 games during passing plays. Yeah, I am trying to dump him.
Apparently not only is Blount unable to catch, but he's unable to block, too. So, he's becoming Brandon Jacobs 2.0
Counteroffer. Branch/Jennings for Blount/Moreno. I'm thinking he accepts, and that you will have butt raped him.
I actually tried that counter offer and it was rejected. He now said he is scared to give up Jennings but is considering it. Should I take the Johnson/Branch for Blount deal while he is still willing?
I like the Branch/Johnson deal better. You only have one solid WR right now, and the deal for Branch and Johnson would give you 3. Steve Johnson isn't as safe as Greg Jennings, but could be every bit as good. They were very close statistically last year, with Jennings slightly better. Through 2 games this year, Johnson has been slightly better. Branch is a great PPR player. Floyd has health issues, and has never caught 50 balls. Although Moreno has no value for you right now, he could have trade value later on.
Fitzpatrick or Ryan? I'm scared to go Fitz because he's bound to come down...but the Pats secondary is so bad it's hard to ignore.
Fitzpatrick or Kolb Kolb is playing Seattle who has a pass defense in the top half of the league but I think that's simply because who they have been playing. Fitzpatrick is playing a Patriots teams that will probably have them down all game and will cause them to throw but for some reason I am expecting more mistakes from Fitzy.
Do you know what happened the last time Fitzpatrick played the Pats? 251 yards 0tds and 3ints I'd still roll with Fitzpatrick though.
