LOL at the posters listing 100 different shows. I love CF. ;)

Among the hundreds of shows I've seen in my 40 years, here are a few that stand out:

Living Colour 1988 (can't remember the name of the club in Houston on Richmond...I know some others here were there....what was the name of the club??)

Red Hot Chili Peppers, 1985, Sam Houston Coliseum - This was their "rock out with your **** out" days. There were about 200 people there. LOL.

Ben Folds Five, 1996(?), Numbers - Still can't believe all that sound came from a trio playing live.

Weezer, 1996, Liberty Lunch/Austin - Weezer in their absolute prime with Matt Sharp totally working the crowd.

All 5 Rush shows I've been to - Duh....it's Rush! What do you expect?

All 40 Ten Hands shows I've been to. Anyone here remember them?

    The Vatican?

Wild guess...I was 11 at the time and obviously didn't go to that show.

Would love to have seen Vernon Reid jam live

Living Colour at Xcess in 89ish
Benson & Hedges Blues Fest at the Summit - Saw BB King and his Orchestra and John Lee Hooker (with many others) 90ish
    Butthole Surfers 90ish
Prince NYE show at the Summit
Pet Shop Boys and Erasure at Astroworld
Dead Milkmen played a song for me at a show. (I interviewed them for my college radio station before the show and they asked me what I wanted to hear - during the show they said "Our friend "oomp' wants to hear...")
    Ben Folds Five at Numbers
    Guy Forsyth multiple times
    Deer Tick

    Non Music:
    Gerorge Carlin in 88
Andrew Dice Clay at his peak at the Summit
Jim Rose when his show was huge. Right after Lollapalloza II when he was second stage. Full venue multiple acts. I saw him again years later at a comedy club, not near as fun.

no kidding. i don't think Best Live Performances You've Ever Seen equals list every concert you've ever been to.

my most MEMORABLE one is the Metallica/Guns n Roses in '92 at the Astrodome. Both bands were at the top at the time and the Astrodome was rocking hard.

Great now we get to see a list that goes BEYOND encompassing a Stevie nicks solo show to prove the list is actually much larger and that those 100+ listed shows actually ARE the best.

The Flaming Lips are always great. I saw them going back to seeing them at The Vatican in the early 1990's. I think they were touring "Clouds Taste Metallic." The most memorable show was in 1999, or 2000. They played a weird club in South Houston, maybe in Scarsdale and everyone in the audience was given headphones with an FM transmitter. I think this was touring for "The Soft Bulletin." It was quite an audio-visual experience. We were still finding confetti from the show years later.

Issac Hayes at the Arena Theater was an incredible experience- from the crowd to the songs to the performance.

Seeing the Pixies at a club with my wife on her due date with our first child would be memorable in any case, but they were so good it was surreal.

    Richard Thompson is incredible live.

Probably my favorite concert ever was the Super Furry Animals in Austin in 2002. They were amazing.

Best show in recent times is Sufjan Stevens here in Auckland.
