8 sec left when they resume after the break, Ref was looking at the time keeper for some strange reason instead of watching the fight...

All this did was make Floyd more money. He probably lost a few fans, but he also became more popular to the average boxing fan. A small example is the fact that this thread is on page 28. Well played Mayweather.

This is the guy that states that Lil Wayne is a superior emcee to Rakim because of the money he makes, the "swag" he has.

In other words, it is a very childish viewpoint...

Its true though, this is going to be talked about in the boxing world for a long time. I think Ortiz deserved what he got. I wanted Ortiz to win, he seems like a great guy. Mayweather's next fight will most likely be Ortiz because we all know he will not fight PAC, and the money made off fight number two will be much larger.

smh @ all the trash talk ortiz talked in his 24/7, only to end up resulting to dirty tactics because mayweather was picking him apart.

That was some seriously weak s**t.

He could have won the fight legitimately, why go the cheap route?

Ortiz is one weird cat, the dude just got knocked out with a serious sucker punch and he is laughing, grinning and fistbumping with Money's camp and anyone who is willing. Dude got paid regardless but that looks VERY fishy and a poor job by Ortiz to hide it. Kevin Nash did a better job of hiding that the finger poke of death was coming from Hogan then that. Oh and whats up with the 900 apologies for the headbutt, apologize once and got back to fighting...just looks bad.

Y'all see that head shake by Mayweather right before he sucker punches him?

Wonder if any of the Vegas Book makers received a large bet for a Mayweather knock out in the fourth round. That probably came from ortiz.

I dont get the people saying that Mayweather was dominating that fight...far from it.

At that point of the fight, Ortiz was winning round 4...it would have been 38-38 going into round 5.

Mayweather had the edge, but Ortiz wasnt far behind.

What Ortiz did was let his emotions get the best of him DURING the fight...not a good move, but still, he apologized and got a point deduction. He paid for it.

What Mayweather did was a complete b**** move...and as s result, he wins.

Lost all respect for Mayweather...if he ever steps into the ring with PAC, he will get obliterated. And hopefully pissed on.

Probably because mayweather and ortiz camp both placed a knock out rd in the 4th. Great way for everybody to get paid not just the fighter.

If this were the case, I would think they would make the KO look a little more legit.

I watched the fight live and the video after, the ref did have the fighters go to their own separate corners.. wheres the controversy?

When Mayweather and Ortiz both came out of their corners they kind of hugged and Mayweather pounced, cheaply but fair

Mayweather was up on all judges scorecards. All those punches that victor threw weren't landing.

The controversy is b/c Mayweather won. People expect Mayweather to keep waiting for Ortiz to get out of La-La land, but b/c he didn't, he's a punk. Mayweather was opportunistic, and Ortiz was stupid. Stupidity kills, esp. in a basic sport as boxing: keep your guard up at all times.

Let me make a comparison. If it was 3 seconds left in an NBA game, you get loose for a shot but your opponent didn't know the clock started, are you going to give up that wide open shot or wait for your opponent to be into it? Absurd.

Why when you can build up controversy to do it all over again because by the end of the night it's all about the benjamin$. This thread already has more post than pac vs shane and you guys all bought into it. Mayweather already made it clear if ortiz wants a rematch he can give it to him during the interview and ortiz was all smiley face talking to larry as if the joke was on us. They knew there's gonna be Mayweather vs ortiz 2. Just stream it until he face pac

OMFG! HORRENDOUS Analogy. Dude just step. Mayweather won plain and simple. He didn't do anything illegal but it wasn't a classy move by a boxer most felt was superior to the opponent and most felt would win. It's also agreed that Ortiz was a naive dumbazz. So I think that squares it all.

Mayweather being smart and opportunistic doesn't negate his being a punk.
