[Boxing] Confirmed - Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Victor Ortiz Sept 17th.

Wanna put a bet that Floyd and Pac will fight? I say $50 a fight will happen next year between the two.

Floyd will easily make a boatload, since it's reported from ESPN he will make more than $40 mil from tonight's fight.

Floyd's a great boxer, and one of the best of all time. People get caught up into personalities all too much. Floyd can act all he wants b/c he backs it up. And that applies to every sport. You pay to watch them perform their profession, not make you happy. A majority of star athletes are cocky/arrogant dudes who have been jocked by those around them for most of their entire lives, outside of a few exceptions. Get over it already.

 

A better bet would be the odds that he fights Khan.

my guess is Ortiz bet on Floyd and when he almost had him KO'd in the 4th, the did a very silly thing to end the fight. the intentional head butt was just stupidly done... as if he wanted to lose that round. then followed by a kiss... i think he whispered to Floyd... like saying hit me hit me....

I'll talk about Mayweather and his lack of class, I don't know about others but as far as I know I didn't refer to him as gayweather so I guess I'll feel free to bring his classlessness into the equation. For the others that resorted to namecalling, well that's their issue.

 

Even an incessant know it all, who gets a hard on from talented, heartless athletes, should be able to recognize that Mayweather is not in the vicinity of the "best of all time". That is a despicable insult to legendary boxers and boxing lore in general. You should be ashamed. You should also go pull up some boxing history and educate yourself on what it means to be great in such a classic sport with so much history. Ortiz is plain stupid, I don't think it was classless by Floyd. Ortiz pulled off the unexcusable headbutt and Mayweather touched his glove when action continued. From that moment on Ortiz should've immediately put his fists up in the usual defensive stance. Why even apologize for the second time? Idiotic move. Was he waiting for the Ref to smile at him or what the F was he thinkin? People should stop calling out Mayweather, he didn't do anything wrong, you can't wait for your opponent to be 100% every second before punching him. There's no time for standing with your hands down low in professional boxing.

Damn, I have always been a Mayweather fan, but this latest fight and his comments afterwards make it really hard for me to root for this guy anymore.

Everything about the fight seem too fishy. Ortiz never play dirty and he could've gotten up but decided to sit down and smile act like he was dazed and he act like he didn't care about being cheated. My bet is that both fighters had a side bet on who knocks out who in which round. Great way to double up your life savings. Shooo I know I would because money is evil.
