Because then you only had to put in 1/3 of the work by going only 4 rounds instead of 12! Of course the fight wasn't fixed, I was just joking

He clearly says, "bell in" at 0:38 seconds right before they hug.

lol @ people blaming Mayweather even though Ortiz landed the first dirty hit of the match.

After Ortiz apologized the first time he should have just been ready to fight. Hopefully he learned a lesson tonight. He was winning that round so the headbutt was just stupid.

If he did say that then why does he just stop paying attention to the fight and looks away? The ref needs to own up he screwed up

Lol, I just watched it twice again now.

The first view, the headbutt is obvious, I have no problems with that, point deduction. fine.

I didn't see that kiss, never noticed it. They shook/touch gloves twice. I guess the ref told them to fight. The ref made that hand motion to go in and fight, and they do. Well, floyd did at least. WTF was victor trying to do by touching gloves for a third time, the dude's an idiot.

On the second view, when I decided to watch it again, Mayweather said something to Ortiz. Lamps is saying, "they're talking to each other," as in Okay Vic, you're going down. The ref drags him away to separate them, and they touch gloves one more time. On that hand touch, it's the acknowledgement that it's going down. The first punch, wasn't hard enough, so he had to do the second punch to get him down.

It looked like Ortiz could get up, instead he got off his back, and then on his hands and knees like he couldn't get up.

There. More conspiracy theory, cause its 12:51 and i'm waiting for football in 15 hours.

The first punch left him shocked to the point that he didn't react. Look like he was looking at the ref thinking he would do something to Mayweather.

about 36 seconds into that last video posted, he makes a hand motion for them to continue. from there, ortiz should have been ready to go instead of trying to make out with mayweather for the third time.

Ok but when have you seen in a boxing match where the ref is not paying attention to the fighters to get them going again. The ref botch it up and the two fighters were dirty and in the end they will get their rematch for another big pay day. Love the script. Didn't Money work a bit for WWE, I believe he gave the Big Show a shot to the face.

Hell if he MISSED 50% of his punches that'da actually meant he was doing awesome. Cuz that'd mean he was HITTING 50% of his punches.

Ortiz only connected on 22% punches (Mayweather 49% of punches)

Is the bell suppose to ring to resume a fight after break??? Why was there even a break involve, Mayweather seemed fine?? The ref did not immediately break up the headbutt, it was after Ortiz was swinging a wide hook to the head of Mayweather, then the ref broke up the fight...

The ref botched, but what Mayweather did wasn't dirty in the technical sense b/c the ref said "Let's go" and signaled for the bell.

It's considered dirty b/c Ortiz's mind was in La-La land. You guys really expect Mayweather to wait and wait and wait for Ortiz to be ready to fight?

I don't think it was fix. I'm pretty sure after that head butt Ortiz felt pretty guilty/embarrased and let his guard down. It's just one of those human psychology trying to prove you're innocent or that it wasn't intentional. Still Gayweather is a coward with those sucker punches. Watch him go on another vacation to avoid Pacquiao.

On 2nd look, even though you don't HAVE to Mayweather probably shoulda touched gloves. What makes Mayweather the one to break customs? It was unsportsmanlike.

BUUUT yeah after the cheap Ortiz head butt, Ortiz shouldnt expect TOO much sportsmanship back. Also Ortiz was being a little TOO "bromantic" with all the apologies. The man is trying to knock your HEAD OFF, Ortiz. Mayweather already pulled that stunt against Mosely, shoulda GAMEPLANNED for that.

    FIXED

Boxing is like jim morrison, it knows it ,and continues to teeter on the uncomfortably weird.

Add this mayweather ortiz fight to the list. the announcer grilling mayweather afterwards was funny along with the 'kick your ass' stuff. I dont know about you, but the whole thing has almost a public access channel feel to it all.

mayweather was winning, and almost seemed to be toying with the kid.. then ortiz was punching ,and wasn't going unnoticed by mayweather. You could tell mayweather didn't like it ,and I would have liked to have seen more with these 2. that was a cheapshot on some levels, although I question why ortiz was looking at the ref.. Disappointing ending to this fight, and likely sets up rematch with ortiz.

I think Emmanuel Stewart said it best, no comment. It was dirty plan and simple.

In nearly 4 rounds he had not gotten to victor like that, pure skill mayweather!

I think Ortiz will get his rematch and an even bigger pay day. Floyd is the better fighter, but to say Floyd would have won is ridiculous. Ortiz has some crazy power and it can take one punch to finish a fight. I was rooting for Mayweather but to tell you the truth, if they fought again, I would pull for Ortiz. Great guy. Classy and just was to apologetic for his own good. What a shame. Floyd is a cocky arrogant bit** but he can back it up. Better man won, just not the right way. Be a man and give Ortiz a chance to fight back.

I agree he should of touched his glove but it was kind of an awkward moment. Ortiz apologized once and then went to do it again. After the 1st apology that should have bene over with. I just don't get why people expect Mayweather to show class after he was hit with a cheap shot first.

Ortiz did an illegal cheapshot while Mayweather did a legal cheapshot yet most people are complaining more about Mayweather's cheapshot.
