Victor Ortiz modeled MEN'S UNDERWEAR a month ago. (Look it up if you want)

He kissed Mayweather on the cheek during the headbutt apology

    He seems plain fruity.

this also makes a rematch a huge event. boxing is back, if only for a little while.

Thank God for Jones-Jackson next week.

UFC is on the rise while boxing is going downhill.

Onlything that will revive it is Pacquio-Mayweather.

Also I'm not sure if Mayweather can even beat Amir King Khan.

I disagree. Mayweather was pissed even when they were touching gloves. He gramaced and you could clearly tell what his intentions were. He knew the fight wasnt back on and he did it deliberately...BUT Ortiz is a F****** idiot for not being prepared and for apologizing so much. ANd even after 2 clear and dangerous cheap shots, Ortiz still apologized?!

This just shows the demise of the sport. Its all about the money. In ortiz's head he felt like no one expected him to win and he just came to grips with it and left smiling because you knew he had a huge check waiting for him.

    Everyone wins, except the fans.

In conclusion, I dont care who won that fight it was about how it was won. Sad story for boxing and well sadly not surprising considering the state of the sport.

    But, why do you care?

His record is 42-0. Don't let people putting an asterisk next to this win get to you.

mayweather's persona is turning into Tommy "The Machine" Gunn before our very eyes. now all he needs is for people to start putting in his head that his uncle was better than he'll ever be, and for the two of them to street brawl on the vegas strip.

Learn the facts before you spew garbage. I can't wait wait to see Gayweather duck Pac once again.

I don't know how anybody could be interested in a rematch with Ortiz. He brought nothing to this fight.

It's not. It's just funny that people actually think that the result of the match is "controversial" if they saw the match.

Floyd never touched gloves. That's what drew Victor in in the first place. It was also the reason he turned to look for Cortez's direction. He never touched victor's gloves.

how exactly is it a sad story? was a unique/extremely controversial ending that will have everybody talking about it. if anything, it is great for the sport.

if floyd and ortiz rematch, do you think it will have more or less viewers than tonight? the correct answer is more, and by millions.

you will remember this fight 30 years from now. you wouldnt remember a single detail about a systematic, 12-round grindfest from floyd, if that was the way it went down.

I wonder what the boxing commission has to say about this. The ref screwed up by either doing

    A) Not telling them to fight yet, Floyd went ahead and did, and the ref did nothing about it except give Ortiz the 10 count.

    B) Told them to go ahead and fight, then started having a side conversation with someone outside of the ring as if his refereeing duties didn't include actually refereeing the fight

While Ortiz claimed he was caught by a punch that came before Cortez ruled the fighters to continue, the referee said Mayweather did nothing wrong.

"Time was in, the fighter needed to keep his guard up. Mayweather did nothing illegal," Cortez said.

This isn't a fight by 2 kids at the park.

    Recap

"Mayweather was winning the fight through three rounds, dominating with speed and landing good right hands to the head of Ortiz. He won all three rounds on two ringside scorecards, and two of three on the third.

Ortiz picked up the pace in the fourth round, trying desperately to get inside Mayweather's vaunted defense. He did on occasion and was having a better round when, late in the round, he appeared to intentionally head butt Mayweather in frustration as the two fought in Mayweather's corner."

I just find it funny people use the ending to justify their hate for Mayweather, that's all. Mayweather was winning fair and square through 3 rounds.

I'm not sure how Cortez knows that, he wasn't even watching the fight.
