Dude wtf are you on about??? I basically agreed with you that Floyd would win the longer it went past that round so wtf are you talking bout???

You sound like Floyd bringing up 42-0. The same rubbish he thinks will make people consider him one of the greatest boxers of all time. Nice record but doesn't mean that much the way the latter part of his career is panning out.

Floyd was ALREADY winning through the first 4 rounds. You still thought Ortiz had a chance, which is ridiculous.

Look, endings like this I think hurt Floyd too. It was a dumb ending, to a fight of this magnitude. I think you and I know Floyd would have won if this thing was fair and square anyways. Sucks that this will tarnish Floyd's win a little bit. And more hate.

Yeah no one's denying that fact. Why so defensive about it?

People will use the ending to claim otherwise, and put an asterisk to the record. Floyd would have murked Ortiz if it kept going.

No it doesn't, it helps him make more money. People hating you is worth more than people loving you. Look at Rush.

Can we all just agree that boxing's eventual path to professional wrestling seems to be moving faster and faster with each fight?

I half-expected to see Stone Cold Steve Austin take control of the PA system. This is ridiculous.

So, you're worried that some ppl on clutchfans will unofficially discount Floyd's win?

and posting 42-0 will somehow change their view?

    Interesting.

don't know how to phrase this without sounding like i'm a mayweather fan, because i'm not, but i really think that his adrenaline was pumping, thought the fight was back on (which it was), and was fighting again. its not like ortiz stuck out his hand to touch gloves, and he decked him. they had broken up.

like you said, he had no reason to end the fight like that. he wasn't looking for an easy way out, instincts took over. thought the fight was back on, and he popped him.

I don't think it's hate that Floyd cares about, but respect. The best of every sport always have their share of haters (Kobe/Lebron/Brady...). Floyd wants to be considered the best of all time, and endings like this will tarnish his legacy a little bit, even if he would have won the fight, in the people's eyes.

If you saw this match, Floyd was winning through 4 rounds. And Floyd is known to get much better as a match progresses.

LOL, don't know if serious. My Iphone has been going off with 25 text messages after the match, with more than half of them discounting the match.

And Floyd was clearly in control of the match. He had no reason to take a cheapshot. I think Floyd thought the match resumed, and he was extremely heated after the headbutt and wanted to clock Ortiz with the quickness.
