Terrible, just terrible. Both fighters and the ref should be ashamed.

Does it matter? Ortiz had NO CHANCE if you watched the match. Mayweather was most likely pissed as hell that Ortiz did something like that b/c Ortiz had been embarrassed through the first 3 rounds.

the guy is a brilliant fighter/tactician/whatever you want to call him. it truly is "the sweet science" to him. everybody wants to see a brawl and slugfest. he knows that's not how to win fights. changes for every opponent. sure some will be boring, but before the mayhem, he was on the attack exposing ortiz's weaknesses.

sucks for him (but good for his pocketbook) that he's going to have to fight ortiz again. he was drilling him.

and everybody who is faulting mayweather's likely unintentional antics, and somehow overlooking the fact that ortiz intentionally attempted one of the most vicious headbutts i've seen in the sport in a while, y'all are morons. that was borderline disqualification-worthy.

I'm sure they'll have a rematch, and more money will be in the pot (as more people will be upset by these results). Boxing people will get the cash.

And Floyd will win with ease AGAIN. Ortiz had no chance in this fight. Sucks that it had to end this way.

But Ortiz is clearly not ready for a fighter like Floyd. It was pathetic in the first 3 rounds. Ortiz was clearly outmatched.

I'm sorry, but I did watch the fight, and although I feel that Mayweather was in control, saying Ortiz had no chance is just r****ded. He was getting beat, but not dominated.

Yet he is still 42-0 and you are still mad about it. Sounds like pretty good control to me.

You don't think there are differing degrees of cheap shots?

If somebody keyed your car, and the next day you blow his car up with lit gasoline, these are equal to you?

Dude where the F did you see Floyd dominate the 2nd????
Floyd was up in the score cards and it's debatable if it was 2-1 or 3-0 but either way the 2nd was the closest round.
    Dominated the 2nd my #@@.

Either way, the fight just confirmed what we knew after the Maidana fight, Ortiz's head isn't right. That mofo isn't serious.

16 pages and counting on clutchfans for a mayweather/victor ortiz fight. i love it.

it incited a reaction like none other, and that's what made it great and memorable.

If you know Mayweather's history, he usually dominates in the later rounds via his defense. He's a great tactician/defender.

But he was outclassing Ortiz from the start, which only meant that it will only get worse for Ortiz as the match progresses. Round 3 was pretty pitiful for a match of this magnitude.

Gosh you sound like a Fox news correspondent going in on the Obama administration. One of the most vicious headbutts??? Slight exaggeration???

I didn't pqy for it and thank God that I was born with common sense. Gayweather better tale a rematch because Pacman will kill him in the ring.

You are 100% right, Mayweather would have won the longer it went on but to say he was outclassing Ortiz is the stuff delusions are made of. (Much like saying Ortiz would win/have won by decision).

Ortiz held his own. Mayweather was winning(not dominating). Ortiz had a chance over the next 2-3 rounds. Anything after that and he was done!

ha. not really. can't remember seeing somebody cocking their head back like that and attempting a full force headbutt like that. when i think headbutting in boxing, i picture evander and his subtle close-contact head nudging.

Manny vs Mayweather needs to happen already.

So who won't fight who now?

The sun will rise tomorrow morning, Mayweather will continue to find a reason not to fight Manny, and the world will go on.
