Thanks coachbadlee. I'm a realist, but have a good feeling about this squad and don't see why we can't be a darkhouse this/next season. This seems to be rebuilding on the fly, getting younger while keeping most of the team intact!

Love your optimism for this team. Agreed on most parts except Thabeet and Williams.

Thabeet will never be that " shotblocking and rebounding machine". He will continue on his short career with the bust tag and be out of the league once his contract is up. No one can help him, hell not even Hakeem.

He doesn't seem to want to get better or hasn't shown any improvements since he entered the league. Shame, he has the perfect body for a Center, but just is a goofball whenever he runs up and down the court.

As for T-Will, unlike Thabeet, he has the talents to get better, but he has nothing between the ears. He is a menace on the court, quits alot on plays when he doesn't get the ball and shows bad body language on and off the bench. He also seems like a locker room cancer and a bad influence on the younger guys in our locker room. I'd have him stay away from guys like Morris or D-Mo. And plus, if Morris can show he can play the 3 full time or even part time, I see no playing time for him. Even though he might be a better player than Budinger, he doesn't warrant playing time infront of him because at least Budinger has shown that desire to get better and seems like a good work ethic type of guy.

but the poll is not accurate, because this thread was started in april, and then we had a very slim chance (close to none) that we make to the playoffs, now with a new season, everything can happen, so those who voted "NO" for last season, they cant vote "yes" for next season.

With our roster as it is and using and providing all the other teams stay the same as well - then if we use Lowry, Martin, Scola and Hayes as our main weapons along with Dragic, Lee, Bud and Pat as the primary supporting cast - we have a legit shot at 7-8th place.

That means we cant afford to waste time on the 2009 rejects at all. Any experimenting on our roster with the these guys will cost us dearly. T-Will wont fit in our system with ball stopping-ball hogging ways. Hill has the length but cant play center for any length of time on a play off team. He only looked good at PF but still not consistently, we are way too well stacked at the 4. Dont even mention Thabeet, he just doesnt have it in him to be a NBA player, he can barely play in D-League. Flynn is the only one in that group who has the attitude and the potential to warrant playing time, but we are too well set at the PG spot. The 2009 rejects must go!!! All of them!!!

That leaves Morris with some backup minutes at SF. It would be a huge bonus if he can have some effect later during the season (it will take him some time to adjust). Finally D-Mo might get back up minutes at 5. But I think we will see more of Scola at the 5 until we get a legit center.

Well, I hope you're correct, but I would be SHOCKED if that happened.

If they started the season like they ended last season, i think they have a better chance at the 4th or 5th seed. I also believe this team, as constructed, can make it to the conference finals.
